While the overall reaction to Caitlyn Jenner's introduction has been overwhelmingly positive, restoring our faith in the world and making Caitlyn herself feel 'humbled' and extremely happy, there are some who haven't reacted quite so well.
In fact, a shocking petition has now been started urging the International Olympic Committee to actually REVOKE her incredible 1976 Olympic gold medal, as they claim she was "in violation of committee rules."
Yes, really.
The 65-year-old won the medal for the decathlon in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, but now some are suggesting that she should give back the medal.
And by some, we mean the 9,000 people who have actually signed this piece of CRAZINESS.
The Change.org petition was created by Jennifer Bradford, who says in an open letter: "It has recently come to light that gold medalist Bruce Jenner is in fact transgender, and therefore, identifies as a woman.

It's called political warfare, and it's no surprise you don't get it - we're Conservatives, and in general, Conservatives have NO CLUE how to wage political war. The left is absolutely brilliant at it, however.

The justification goes like this: Jenner says he has always been a woman? So be it. If we are to accept his premise and be 'tolerant' of the LGBTABCDEF mafia, we must accept the fact that he has always been a woman. Women do not compete with men in the Olympics. His awards MUST be rescinded, according to the left's own claims. Hold them to it. Either they will join the cry to strip him of his medals, or they will reveal themselves to be the lying hypocrites they are.
Or, we can do like most here @ FR are advocating: Let Jenner have his cake AND eat it, too. Boy, aren't we just the enabling types!
I hope this freak has to write a really big check for that woman HE killed recently.

Got news for ya...Pubbies don't need a petition to make them look like idiots. The media does a fine job of that. The lack of support for this petition amongst the Conservatives here on FR is a sign that the right has no clue how to wage or win political battles. Meanwhile, the left has become absolute experts at it.
We could most certainly stop paying attention, but I promise that won't make the issue go away. We need to use the left's tactics against them. Or, we can just be quiet, pay no attention, and hope the sand doesn't get in our ears.
This smells of being fake protest instigated to make conservatives look bad.
He won the medal fair and square, afaik, so why waste time on that, when instead, it will hurt the LSM more if cable/sat customers can unbundle ESPN, CNN, pMSNBC, etc., from their services and bills.

Bingo... I stilll think this whole spectacle is in prep for a Kardashianish reality series and the big $$$ payoff this little event has created. These people are the best well known media whores in the world for a reason.

I dont agree with that at all. People think that we are racists because the media portrays us that way. People think we are waging a war on women because the media portrays us that way. People think that we are trying to hold the middle class down because the media portrays us that way. Then comes this petition, a petition that has no merit to even be considered by anyone with the authority to pull his medal. We should not let some dumb woman with a computer represent us in such a way. By posting article after article and blog after blog on our disgust with Jenner we are only feeding the fire. This is an issue that only affects us because we let it. Yes, I agree that this is an abomination, but we are taking the wrong path to fixing an issue that will soon overrun our country.

We could be completely silent, and STILL get the blame. That's my point. We don't need to say anything to be villainized. The media, as you point out, will do it regardless. It's time we get serious about political warfare, or shut up and except our chains.
The onset of mental illness late in life should not diminish his accomplishments from years ago.
