Tuesday in an interview with Ilana Dayan for Israel’s Channel 2 “Uvda” TV show, President Barack Obama said he believes the “direct line between the the Jewish experience and the African-American experience,” means African-Americans have a “special empathy and a special regard,” for the Jewish people.

What nonsense, when he thinks about Jews and Israel, he hallucinates.
The 2013 ADL survey showed a dramatic drop in anti-Semitic attitudes amongst blacks in America. 22% antisemities, vs 29% in 2011 and 28% in 2009.
Of course the rate amongst the total population, which includes blacks, was 12%, 15%, 12% respectively. So over twice as many African Americans hold anti-Semitic views compared to the overall population. Which is also impacted by foreign born Hispanics.
Whites rank come in at 8%-9%-8%, a third of the rate amongst African Americans.
The President is lying. The black community would do well to work on hatred of Jews, though I think hatred of police and whites are more serious problems.
Now, if he'd said Jews have had special empathy for the African American community, particularly during the civil rights era, he would have been correct.
*Hispanics are interesting. In 2013-2011-2009 the numbers for first generation arrivals are 36%-42%-35%. US born Hispanics are 14%-20%-18%
And by “special” empathy he means...zero, zip, nada, zilch.

It seems Obama plans to spend much of his final months making statements which are the opposite of reality. This follows his informing us that his policies have restored America's reputation and now the US is the most respected nation on earth.
And blacks have historically been the most anti-semitic group in the US, though they might have been displaced by some of our recent immigrants.

Obama is making all this stuff up. Is he trying to garnish Jewish votes, or what? If they fall for this nonsense the Jews of the U.S. deserve him and all he brings.
In 1980, National Lampoon magazine did a 4 page comics one shot entitled Civil War Between the Negroes and the Jews, by John Hughes. Playing heavily on stereotypes, it still struck home very hard for both groups and the acrimony between them.

Blacks generally hate the Jews.
Actually I have a reverse view. Seems that blacks tend to dislike especially Jews. Recently somebody quoted from a decades old book,iirc “Crisis for the Negro Intellectual”, regarding it already existing long ago.
I remember when blacks used a generic name for all Jews: ‘Goldberg’. Perhaps they dropped it after Whoopi came along.
Would that not imply that Whoppi is, to some extent, Jewish?

Well Pam it is quite obvious that you have not been around a lot of black people in your life. From what I have seen the majority have a lot of Jew hate in them.
I remember incidents in high school when blacks were calling me a Jew in a derogatory manner. At the time I thought it was funny being that I am not Jewish. This was in the 50’s. Knowing what I know now after all these years and seeing other incidents in my life I look at these things in a different perspective.

Most black people I’ve met would not know or care the difference between a Jew and Gentile if placed side by side. Those white folk all look alike!
