Democrats in the House and Senate have proposed legislation that would carve out $60 million for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to research firearm safety and gun violence prevention over the next six years.
The bill is likely to draw opposition from Republicans, who have rejected the idea that gun violence is something that needs to be treated as a disease or a public health issue that can be studied by the CDC.
President Obama lifted a ban on federal research on gun violence in 2013, but the CDC has faced funding obstacles since then, which has prevented any significant work in this area.
The legislation, from Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., would provide that funding and authorize the CDC to spend $10 million on gun safety research per year through fiscal year 2021.

The bill would require a 70/30 % conservative split for the group members and would include multiple representatives from the sheriff’s offices in Maricopa and Pinal counties Arizona and Milwaukee county Wisconsin

This is all about some politician’s kid or boyfriend/girlfriend getting a well-paid “job” Most of the dough will end up in some secret off-shore account because the “study” has already been done and the stats are in to suit their narrative. No work will be done. No facts gathered.

It’s not gun violence. I’ve never seen a violent gun. What they mean is black violence and what they plan to do is take guns from non-blacks.
Let’s do research on how Nazis were killed by guns and why it might happen here.

Rudy Julianne cut an avg. 3000 murders a year in NY City down to 300 per year and saved 2700 lives in the process .
