Clarke, a registered Democrat, is disgusted that it is politics as usual because the mayor will never sit down and try to compromise with the Republicans. He pointed out, No other county in the state is experiencing violence similar to Milwaukees. Otherwise, you would see the crime more evenly distributed throughout the state. This rhetoric just creates more hurdles for gun owners than for the criminals.

Sheriff Clarke speaks out against Barrett (Milwaukee mayor) and Flynn (Milwaukee Police Chief) on recent remarks about the crime rate.
Keep in mind that the Sheriff of Milwaukee County (Clarke) operates separately from the City of Milwaukee law enforcement.
Small correction to article: Clarke is NOT a “registered Democrat”, although he runs for office under the Democrat name. We do not “register” by party in Wisconsin, so nobody really knows which party you identify with.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Super article!
Yet he continues to speak out about the corruption of democratic leadership both at the city and county level.
The article indicates that there are major problems in the city of Milwaukee, and the Mayor only wants to have a choo-choo train (fixed track trolley) to run a couple miles in downtown.
We have stupid democratic idiots running our major cities. When will the handouts stop and people realize that they have been conned?
City boy has 5 stars on lapel, ha ha.
WTF does he think he is? General Of The Army? Commander In Chief Milwaukee Theater of Operations?
Have to agree with the sheriff on this one.
—great article—I had not picked up on the fact that Barret and Flynn were blaming the Milwaukee situation on the new Wisconsin concealed carry law-—didn’t think even those two would be stupid enough to say that-—
The law allows for non-concealment? Hmmm. Why? Wouldn’t it be better to keep arms concealed?

Wisconsin has always allowed “open carry”, although law enforcement frowned upon it. Open carry was a bone of contention before Scott Walker brought us concealed carred during his first term.
I should add that anyone can “open carry”. You need a permit to “conceal carry”.

Some would prefer to deter attack instead of being able to surprise an attacker after the attack starts.
-——Yet he continues to speak out——
Niel Cavoto has him on a lot and just lets him go on and on
Rather than speak out, he attacks. I’m sure there are lots of attack targets that hate him
So you prefer the corruption and incompetence of city democrat leaders?
you misunderstood my post.......
I hold the guy in high regard. he is as conservative as they come.
thanks. I misunderstood.
