Wisconsin Governor and likely GOP presidential candidate Scott Walker joined the Howie Carr radio show on Friday to praise GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and knock a recent Washington Times story.
A columnist for the Boston Herald and talk radio host, Carr took to Twitter posting quotes during his interview with Walker.
His first tweet read, “@ScottWalker tells me WashTimes story is inaccurate. He will not be skipping Iowa. IAPolitics “We play to win.””

A distraction to whom or what? I’m not a supporter of Carly but if you are going to make a dumbass statement like that at least make a feeble attempt to substantiate it.
My guess is that Walker likes have Fiorina do the attacks on Clinton for the time being. Also, that he may think he is better off having a whole of other candidates in the race who don’t steal votes from him, and let Carson, Fiorina, Graham, Christie, Jindal, Perry, Santorum, etc. steal votes from each other. Cruz and Rubio (and to some degree Jeb Bush dig into his vote totals) while the others likely take from each other.
The Iowa/Ames Straw Poll was always just a party. They only started discouraging multiple votes and bused-in non-residents the last three cycles.
The 2007 was a political junkie’s fiasco, with most candidates skipping it and Ron Paul spinning conspiracy theories about Diebold voting machines.
The 2011 fleeced the candidates pretty good, but left a bad taste the Iowa Straw Poll is trying to overcome. Romney didn’t bother being there, and eventual second place national delegate finisher (and Iowa Caucus winner) Santorum came in fourth.
Rand Paul and Jeb Biush are maggots.
Does she still support amnesty for illegal aliens?
If so, she is (electorally) a non-starter...
