Although the chaos in Baltimore has seemingly come to an end, the damage is done. Buildings are in shambles, and owners have to rebuild their businesses with nothing left of their livelihood except some garbage and burnt pieces of plastic. There are so many heartbreaking stories of individuals affected by the riots, but this one takes the cake.
This mom is trying to figure out what steps to take after the “peaceful protestors” destroyed her severely disabled son’s medical equipment, leaving him with nothing.
According to the Washington Post, Laporsha Lawson grabbed her disabled son Khai’Lee Sampson and fled to her parents’ home after the liquor store near her home was set ablaze on April 28th. Not moments after she fled for safety, her home went up in flames along with all of her son’s medical equipment.
“They took everything from my child,” Lawson said.
Her son Kahi’Lee was diagnosed with asthma as a newborn, but he developed cerebral palsy from prolonged oxygen deprevation after a severe asthma attack. He has no ability speak or use his arms or legs.

So what medical equipment is just another product of white privilege, nothing more than fodder for the fire.

Off topic, but, I’ve heard crime has sharply increased in Baltimore since the riots.
Are the police not as diligent in doing their jobs now? Are they not looking into suspicious activity on the streets, for example? Are they not going into known open air drug markets and gang areas? And do the criminal elements know this, so that they have gotten more brazen in their crimes, thinking that the cops are on the defensive now???
And where does race really enter into all of this? The criminal element responsible for the spike in crime are mostly young black men.

The Mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake gave her race permission to destroy....what on earth was she thinking and how on earth was she elected. Rioting is not protesting; rioting is law-breaking. I suspect the underlying causes can be laid to:
1. Political Correctness
2. Teachers and Preachers who are not teaching the 3 R's and churchmen not preaching and teaching VALUES.
3. Welfare on steroids.
4. Race Pimps and other outside thugs fanning the fire.
That is just the tip of the Social Engineering Iceberg inflicted on minorities.
