Maybe there is a reason why certain groups of "shoppers" are getting popped for crime at this outlet mall.

They prefer this particular mall?
Why?

I think the new legal theory is that if anything like 85% of people being caught for breaking some law are “people of color,” we stop enforcing that law.

Well, tell the people of color to stop stealing...or, at least stop getting caught.

I worked in a call center for a major retailer during the seasonal period 2 years ago. Being “followed” and “profiled” in stores by security personnel was a frequent complaint. It had to be referred to a risk management specialist. They were often compensated with gift cards. Sad.

Do these people really think the store owners don’t mind being shoplifted by whites, to the point that they wouldn’t prosecute it? That’s insane.

It wasn’t “racial profiling”; it was criminal profiling.

Mall officials deny that they or the retailers are singling out any particular group. Sure they are, they are singling out the people who are stealing from them.......duh....the Amish hardly have room in their buggies to haul away refrigerators....besides, they don't have anywhere to plug them in.!!!

A guy I work with spent several years in theft prevention, and he said that a majority of the perps were black (he’s black too BTW)

Having worked part-time in the retail industry in recent years, it is no surprise to read that blacks constitute the lion's share of the shoplifters at this mall. No other racial group comes even remotely close to the amount of theft undertaken by Holder's People - and they can be pretty brazen about it in many cases. And it has definitely gotten worse since Obama was elected in 2008, so a dog whistle must have gone out through the Underground Railroad to get while the getting is good.

Nearly 85 percent of those arrested or cited in connection with shoplifting calls at Eagans new outlet mall were people of color, according to a Star Tribune analysis of nearly 1,000 calls to police in the first eight months the center was open.
Was there evidence that they had committed a crime? Were there convictions? Is this article a suggestion that thieves should not be reported or arrested if they happen to be black?

"Nearly 85 percent of those arrested or cited in connection with shoplifting calls..." I worked in loss prevention when I was in college. We were not allowed to make a stop unless we had actually seen someone take an item and then exit the store without paying for it. If I stopped you, you might be colorful, but you were also a thief.

“Shoplifting arrests at Eagan Outlet Mall raise question of bias”
Solution: simply refuse to arrest every other black shoplifter OR plant evidence and arrest enough white shoppers to bring the numbers into “compliance”.
See, that wasn’t so difficult to fix, now was it?

The only possible solution is to arrest lots of white shoppers until parity is achieved. Problem solved. (Of course, most of the mall’s patrons will be in jail.)

This makes me wonder just who are the slacker enforcement personnel who are randomly selecting the 15% non minority targets. If this were 100% minority, just maybe the bleeding hearts would have a case. Just maybe.
