A guy I work with spent several years in theft prevention, and he said that a majority of the perps were black (he’s black too BTW)
I’m not surprised.
A friend is a retired detective who worked credit/identity fraud. Same story.
When I worked retail the majority of thefts and loss came from black youth followed closely by elderly people who would attempt to remove markdown stickers and place them on full price items. We got labeles that self destructed when you removed them. That really losses them off.
Worked in retail for many years. Record stores. Most shoplifting was by blacks. One of the stores that was in a predominately black area actually kept the records behind the counter and displayed just the jackets in the bins.
