The arrival in Seattle Thursday of an oil rig Royal Dutch Shell is outfitting for oil exploration in the remote Arctic Ocean marks a pivotal moment for an environmental movement increasingly mobilized around climate change.
Activists paddling out in kayaks to meet the rig off Seattle's picturesque waterfront said it's their moment to stand against opening a new frontier of fossil fuel exploration.
"Unless people get out there and put themselves on the front lines and say enough is enough, than nothing will ever change," said Jordan Van Voast, 55, an acupuncturist who was going out on the water to confront the Polar Pioneer. "I'm hopeful that people are waking up."
A few people in tiny plastic boats, dwarfed by a 400-foot-long structure rising nearly 300 feet above the water.

I wonder if Jordan, the activist acupuncturist, knows without oil and other energy byproducts his "tiny plastic boat" would not exist. Idiot.

Afterwards, they rowed back to Shore and hopped in their Gasoline Powered VW Jetta and went home where they had the Thermostat set to a toasty 72 Degrees.
Then they cooked up some Dinner on their Fossil Fuel consuming Stove and watched some TV using Electricity Generated by even more Fossil Fuel.

I wonder if these highly educated morons realize the only reason their city is there in the first place is it’s a great site for a seaport?
To: colorado tanker
They’ll probably come up with the idea to stop all of the container ships from using it and turn it into a world destination kayak/sailboat retreat.
Just like that commie city council woman (Yirna Salmaonaldizh or something) wanted the workers to take over the Boeing factory and start making buses instead of planes!

Right - and those protesters will use some oil product to get home, use their cell phone, and wear stuff.
