A special House panel investigating the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, has uncovered tens of thousands of new documents, but is still facing "obstacles" from the Obama administration, an interim report issued Monday said.
An "Interim Progress Update" was released Monday revealing the investigation "has uncovered new witnesses, new documents, new facts and will result in the most detailed and complete accounting of what happened in Benghazi."
And it reported that the panel in June will interview former Secretary of State Leon Panetta, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Martin Dempsey and retired General Carter Ham, who was in charge of U.S. troops in Libya at the time of the attack.

Simple, like most politicians, they are terrified of the media.
Freerepublic is part of the new media. There would not even be an investigation, if the new media were not here to help get the word out.
The new media’s job is to help get the truth out so as to not make these efforts useless.
And many here do nothing but complain, as if the Congress can tell NBC/ABC/CBS NYTs and WaPo what to do and what to print.
We have been living in a mediacracy for decades, and are just on the edge of fighting our way out of it, and a bunch of supposed allies do nothing but complain that more is not done.
In January when they had the hearings, people on FR COMPLAINED because Gowdy hadn't brought in people like HILLARY CLINTON, GENERAL HAM, or LEON PANETTA.
Now that he is doing so, they are complaining that he isn't doing anything.
Ok. So when is Gowdy going to call Hillary to testify?
Have you ever seen a judge convict a defendant prior to the defense lawyer finishing his case ?
Unless, of course, Gowdy is ineffectual.
So tell the date Gowdy is calling Hillary to testify UNDER OATH?
So... if you were to suddenly find yourself in Gowdy's shoes, what would you do different ?
Boehner/Gowdy are unwilling to “call Hillary to testify”. Gowdy has invited her to appear May 18, but she has not given an answer.
Gowdy is a barking dog with no testicles.

It has been 3 years since Bengazi. First it was Issa. Now Gowdy.
