Occasionally, I wonder whether I'm alone in some of my wonderings. Look at the claim that conservatives or Republicans have launched a war on women as a part of their overall mean-spirited agenda. In the case of mistreatment of women — or of anyone else — assault, rape and murder are about as horrible as it gets. But I would be willing to bet a lot of money that most of the assaults, rapes and murders of women are done by people who identify as liberals or Democrats, particularly in the cases of murderers. Most crime, except perhaps white-collar crime, is committed by people who vote Democratic. Therefore, it's not surprising that former Attorney General Eric Holder, President Barack Obama and their liberal Democratic partners want to end laws that prevent felons and ex-felons from voting. Felons and ex-felons are seen as an important part of their party's constituency.
What about diversity? Diversity is nothing less than a craze on most college campuses. Despite budget squeezes, universities have created diversity positions, such as vice chancellor for equity, diversity and inclusion; director of diversity and inclusion; manager of diversity recruitment; associate dean for diversity; and vice president of diversity. Some diversity chiefs — such as the vice chancellors of diversity at the University of California campuses in San Diego and San Francisco — have annual salaries that top $250,000. That doesn't include the millions of dollars spent staffing and equipping diversity offices.

To expand further on his discussion concerning the physical standards difference in the military. In the Marine Corps, your physical fitness test is taken into account for promotions to corporal and sergeant (FITREPs are what is used later on which do not lean as heavily on PFT tests). You could have a man and a woman competing for the same promotion in the same job field and one gets higher points (the woman) for their PFT test and yet does not do as much (flex arm hang vs. pullups, less situps, slower runtime). How is that equitable?
Fortunately for myself being in the infantry I never had to compete against women because there were no women in my field. However, that will soon change I guess.
I like Walter Williams, because he’s one of those thinkers who goes off on a tangent but keeps it simple. I often find myself down odd rabbit holes from time to time, but being able to “pull up the nose” to prevent getting to deep into thought is part of what constitutes a good philosopher.
There are myriad examples of gender inequality found not only among humans but in many places around the animal kingdom. Do these gender-bending morons think it unfair that a male lion has a mane while the females do not? By all accounts, a lioness protecting her pride is just as fierce a competitor as a male, but the physical size of a male lion will overpower any individual female in a one-on-one fight. A lion’s mane is used to intimidate other predators and lions and serves to make him look bigger than he really is. Male lions serve as protectors of their pride. It is their natural duty.
To expect human females to work at the same level as a human male is absurd. It’s not about being fair, it’s about basic physiology.

An excellent point. 0bama and his administration have worked hard to integrate women into all positions. The only way they’ll succeed in getting them into the Infantry, Rangers, SEALS, etc. is by lowering standards. The lowering of standards will have to only apply to women or the forces will be significantly less combat effective than just allowing women in combat units.

Apart FRom ending the draft, this “gender integration” into ‘combat’ roles or on Navy ships is the most disastrous “hope and change” ever done to the military, until, of course, open homosexuality was allowed and encouraged!
