PATERSON The man who was believed to have fathered twin girls in Passaic County actually only fathered one of them, according to a precedent-setting ruling by a Superior Court judge.
It's the first paternity case in New Jersey and only the third nationwide to feature two different fathers for a set of twins.
Judge Sohail Mohammed ruled that a man identified only as "A.S." was off the hook for child support payments to one of the twins after DNA testing determined he fathered one with 99.9 percent certainty but could not have been the father of the other.

Mom sounds like she has been a busy gal. Porn maybe? The window to fertilize an egg is not very long.
Mama cats have litters with more than one dad all the time, since each kitten (usually) comes from a separate egg. A little more unusual for humans though!
“A little more unusual for humans though!”
Unless you are in heat and wandering the neighborhood with your tail in the air - like it seems this woman was.
This is not a good sign.
Are they going to do DNA testing to determine which one?
nevermind - must read before posting
A whole bunch of people need to read the ^&%$ing article!
It has happened.
Sometimes by mistake, sometimes on purpose.
This (twins by different fathers) is a pretty rare thing but this not the first time it has happened.

And we'll pick up the rest of the tab.
Two for the price of one!
I feel sorry for the kids. I wonder if Mom knows who the other sperm donor was or if it could have been one of many?
Seems reasonable.
Busy and fertile. Two eggs, two sperm, two monthly checks.
What woman in her right mind gets pregnant out of wedlock?
95% of them would, I know. But for the first time in history of man.
They say things are different now. Nope. It’ll go back at some point
And these stories will sound just as freaky as slavery, nazi death camps, and aborting 55 million babies in 40 years
I may have accidentally run into that picture once.
Saw that twice on Maury
He’s ahead of the curve.
for my vast religious cheering section here, smile smile, recall that there is a possible reading of scripture to the effect that twins Cain and Abel had different fathers (Abel’s daddy being who you expected while Cain’s being Satan himself)
and so it goes. but yes, at least with 2 regular human daddies involved it IS possible
best,
fhc
I would assume in vitro fertilization.
The chances of this happening naturally would be infinitesimally small, if not outright impossible.
