We will not obey.
Thats the blunt warning a group of prominent religious leaders is sending to the Supreme Court of the United States as they consider same-sex marriage.
We respectfully warn the Supreme Court not to cross that line, read a document titled, Pledge in Solidarity to Defend Marriage. We stand united together in defense of marriage. Make no mistake about our resolve.
While there are many things we can endure, redefining marriage is so fundamental to the natural order and the common good that this is the line we must draw and one we cannot and will not cross, the pledge states.
The signees are a whos who of religious leaders including former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, National Religious Broadcasters president Jerry Johnson, Pastor John Hagee, and Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritans Purse.

The response from the homo-fascists: You will be destroyed. This, of course is all out of love....
The Christian response:
Over a sinful lifestyle choice?
That’s the whole point of the gay “marriage” thing.
Leftists were pushing pushing pushing to find a point of Christian resistance
so they can criminalize it.
If the court sanctions gay marriage it would most likely make it illegal to refuse to perform or deny the of your church for the “weddings”. It will also lead to a legal ban on preaching about the biblical passages condemning sodomy as a sin.
To refuse to obey could mean jail time and/or hefty fines as is already happening in Norway. It is not a small thing for these pastors to issue this statement.
By doing what?
Yeah, I see that. But what does that specifically mean? If you were gay, I guess you could refuse to get gay married. If you’re a florist, I guess you could refuse to send flowers to gay weddings. What is it that you will refuse to do?
Over a sinful lifestyle choice?
Watch the video; it will give you a better understanding about the ripple effects of unjust law and the police state enforcement that inevitably follows. It’s religious liberty, speech freedoms, and happiness pursuits that are threatened. People even now are facing criminal charges, fines, restrictions on speech & religious practice, destruction of businesses, and bankruptcy. Look to Europe, Canada, and the UK for even more examples.
They are commanded to preach the word both “in season and out of season” no matter the consequence. Sodomy isn’t the only sin that pastors will preach against, but it is the one in which the sinners demand punishment for those who dare to speak against it, especially when done in the name of the Lord.
To be silent over this lifestyle choice would be to defy God himself. It doesn’t always end well, look what happened to John the Baptist when he preached against adultery, but it is what we are all commanded to do.
...and you ask what I refuse to do? I’m already doing it — refusing to be silent about the assault on natural marriage and traditional families, the fundamental building blocks that are required for ordered society survive. In this forum and others, publicly and privately. Will not allow the speech & thought police to have their way. Get aboard.
I got that, and I don’t intend to be silent either, but however the Court decides this case, this ruling won’t prohibit me from speaking out. I don’t cater weddings. It’s not clear to me how I should be disobeying the Court.
In the EU and Canada, pastors, priests, and laymen who preach / speak out against homosexuality or gay “marriage” are charged with criminal acts and are subject to fines, imprisonment, and loss of employment. It’s coming to the U.S., the criminalization our 1A religious liberty and free speech rights. The ruling of the court itself won’t prohibit you from speaking out; it’s the police state enforcement of the multitude of unjust laws and regulations that inevitably will flood from it. The goal is to intimidate you into silence and to have you conform with and embrace the manifold perversions of the Left.
Fine. But just what are they going to do or not do? And what are we going to do when THEY come after our pastors?
Christians have been fence sitting for too long. And we know what God has to say about “lukewarm”. We are in perilous times.
For such a time as this. . . http://www.patburt.com/
I ment the response Christians are “supposed” to have, according to the homosexuals.
