The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is spending $84,000 to study how churches can be used to combat climate change.

A taxpayer-funded graduate fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is examining 17 faith-based institutions that have implemented "sustainability initiatives" in the hopes of developing workshops to teach pastors and other religious leaders how to change the behaviors of their congregants.

"Climate change-which affects traditional faith-based efforts to improve human health, mitigate poverty and redress social inequity-is inspiring religious organizations to advocate for clean air and water, restore ecosystems, and conserve resources," a grant for the project, which began last fall, states. "This project seeks to understand the empirical experiences of faith-based environmental efforts within communities."

Please tell me that my money does NOT pay the salary of the Pinkos that wrote: “Climate change-which affects traditional faith-based efforts to improve human health, mitigate poverty and redress social inequity-is inspiring religious organizations to advocate for clean air and water, restore ecosystems, and conserve resources,”

Our church fights climate change. We shut all doors and windows and crank the A/C down to 68 in the summer and heat at 72 in the winter. Do not want to affect the outside temp you know.

Where does the money for all these government-directed social-engineering schemes come from?

From the Federal Reserve - debt monetization, manipulated interest rates and fiat money.

With it, the government never need to say ‘no’ to any progressive scheme

Sounds like how the Feds created support for same-sex marriage, using liberal churches.

I don’t recall Jesus officiating gay weddings being in the Bible.

Um...the IRS prosecutes churches for having a political message, the EPA enlists churches to have a political message.

I await news of the IRS’ investigation of the money trail back to the EPA and the black hole of silence that follows. /s

Apropos, the serpent eating its tail.

I hope it portends what is to come...

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is spending $84,000 to study how churches can be used to further and preach government propaganda.

Fixed.

This announcement appeared in the paper a couple of weeks ago:

ROCKLAND, Maine — “The Genesis of Today’s Environmental Movement” by environmentalist Michael Leonard, who will discuss people’s responsibilities toward caring for the planet as presented in the Bible and how Green Faith can make a difference, 11 a.m. April 26, Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 15 Wesley Drive.

Our church, which is a little ways away from this one, would never let this guy in the door.

The EPA shouldn’t have too much more time to launch Orwellian nonsensical studies against Americans.
