Rick Perry may run for president again, and he made the case at a Republican dinner last night that Americans are ready to move past a young, very attractive President Obama.
According to NBCDFW, Perry made the case for a Republican president (not necessarily him) whos more than just a critic-in-chief, but also a tested, results-oriented executive who has a record of accomplishment.
And just like in past years, Perry brought up the critique of Obama that he lacked any executive experience before he became president. Perry told the Republican crowd the country is ready to move past eight years of this years of this young, very attractive, amazing orator, junior U.S. senator.
Perry, Grahamnesty, Rubio, etc. are being paid to run by The Cheap Labor Express to split up the votes of conservatives to make sure we do not nominate Ted Cruz.
The RNC has already been paid to produce an amnesty candidate. The cheap labor importers do not want us to elect anyone who will stop the invasion/cheap labor importation.
Sorry, no intellectual chops.
“I like Governor Perry, but I think his presidential ship has sailed.”
Just like the Titanic. :)
Same here.
I supported him briefly in 2012, but the writing is on the wall. Cruz is inspiring people like crazy. He's the man.
First, I’m not a Perry backer, but the article (what little it is) doesn’t seem so abrasive as the title might seem to indicate. “News” organ mining for hits its seems.
Second, all of our candidates need to realize that they don’t need to needlessly offend other candidates and, by extension, their supporters. That doesn’t mean that the substance of the positions of other candidates shouldn’t be attacked, but each of our guys need to keep it classy. Cruz has done well thus far with his remarks about Paul and Rubio. Paul didn’t do quite so well. Tasteless remarks cost votes.
Third, it wouldn’t hurt for those of us on FR to keep point number two in mind at times as well. We don’t want the support for “our” guy to needlessly cost him relatively easy votes from potential allies.
during his time in the Senate, Cruz has been nothing but fearless and a great leader in defending the constitution and our rights and freedoms.
let me ask you a question.
who has been the best and most visible leader on important national and constitutional issues — Cruz or Perry ?
The first debate is going to be crazy. Will they have enough room on the stage to fit all the candidates?
How much time will each candidate get?
I would suspect that those young, inexperienced could remember all 3 governmental departments they would want to close.
Anyone know how many governors were good presidents? Ronald Reagan, I know. But who else?
Jimmy Carter was a governor. Didn't help him at all. Worst president in my lifetime till Obama
Leave it to Goobernor Good Hair to be the first to sling the mud.
Cannot run on the issues and win so sling mud like his other GOP elitists.
Yep. Maybe we should do like March Madness and have all the long shots have a “play in” debate. Winner gets to take his place with the big boys.
Sank at the dock.
Sen Cruz did not FORCE women to get vaccinated
while making $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ from it, like Perry.
His comment on the face of it is childish.
Does he actually think Ted Cruz is made of the same stuff Obama is?
I agree with you.
Obama’s issues are not age or experience. Obama’s issue is intent
Bush had eight. How did that work out?
I hear you on that, Johnny. He throws out a good sound bite now and then, buts that about it.
Or Rubio
Does he actually think Ted Cruz is made of the same stuff Obama is?
I agree with you.
It was the same basic comment that the fat slob Christie made yesterday.
I didn’t catch that one. At least it didn’t register that way.
We’ve got some real kooks in the Republican party.
