Given the amount of bulls*** propagated after 9-11 in the security/airline industry, I’d take having passenger aircraft go back to the way it was pre-2001 or even 1968 and just have excellent bomb detection tech.

The pilot’s associations, etc., need to make it VERY clear to the younger aspiring pilots that if they have any ongoing depressive, psychotic, etc., issues THEY SHOULD START THINKING ABOUT LOOKING FOR SOME OTHER KIND OF WORK!
