Purge: California GOP Kicks out Conservative Policy Staff
Breitbart.com ^ | 03/27/2015 | Assemblyman Tim Donnelly

Posted on 03/27/2015 1:17:48 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

In a little-noticed move this week, California State Assembly Minority Leader Kristin Olsen, completed a purge of “conservative” policy staffers.  The dramatic reversal—in both function and ideology of the Assembly Republican Caucus—mirrors the California GOP’s leftward shift, which has eschewed social conservatives as a “fringe” element.

By softening the party’s stances on issues like illegal immigration, traditional marriage, Common Core, and ObamaCare, the GOP establishment both nationally and here in California believes the party will attract more voters from the center than the party loses from the right.

Kristin, you ignorant slut. In what state has the GOP ever expanded its elected officials by moving hard left ?

What would be the purpose of a state party GOP? How are they different from Democrats? Seriously. If the GOP is defined as a party that supports limited federal government and limited federal interference in the state, what would the state party stand for? Why would it exist?

And don’t they know, nobody respects a sycophant.

A two party system with no contrast between parties is basically an oligarchy...

I wonder how many of us “Fringe” Social Conservatives vote here in Ca. vs. the Log Cabin voters. She may gain a few votes but lose a lot more.

There isn’t any Republican Party in CA. It died with Ronald Reagan.

Wrong again. “Democrat lite” can never beat Democrats.

Sure. How’d that work with Arnie. Karl Rove and George Bush put Arnie in there, at a time when the Democrat governor was extremely unpopular, and Arnie ruined it for the Republican party, probably forever.

Today’s Greens = Yesterday’s Commies
Today’s Democrats = Yesterday’s Socialists/Commies
Today’s GOP = Yesterday’s Democrats
Today’s Tea Party = Yesterday’s (Reagan/Goldwater) GOP.

“the GOP establishment both nationally and here in California believes the party will attract more voters from the center than the party loses from the right”

Morons. You are sending voters from the center directly to the democratic party.

The Moderate GOP Establishment is doing this all around the country. In NH a day or two ago they removed a conservative from the finanace committee. In GA the GOP establishment tabled a Religious Freedom act and raised $1BN taxes on gasoline. This is just the beginning of the purge across the country by Rove and his allies to move the so-called fringe elements out so they can get their piece of the pie.

I am worried about Jeb Bush winning the California GOP primary. The Californian Republican primary is winner take all for each congressional district individually, whatever that means.
