A good day, thanks. Crashed through the Sally Port at 0535 and charged into the Office at 0659. A productive day, albeit tedious. I'm ready for a new project - this one is closing in on two years for me, and I keep seeing the same documents over and over again. It's getting difficult to remain focussed.

Remembering them....always!
Running late. Been watching live streaming of the weather in Moore, OK, where the kids live. An F2 tornado went roaring through there just south of them, and they spent time in their shelter that they have in their garage. Praise God no one was killed in the city...that they know of so far.
Haven’t heard whether my family had any damage yet.

Hi Kathy, the eye is doing great, eye drops for a while longer.
When you do have the cataract surgery, you'll love the results.
Is your Mom getting around OK?

The Definite Choice
Coming from someone who used to value ancestral gods, my 90-year-old fathers statement near the end of his life was remarkable: When I die, he spoke laboriously, nobody should do anything other than what the church will do. No soothsaying, no ancestral sacrifices, no rituals. As my life is in the hands of Jesus Christ, so shall my death be!
My father chose the path of Christ in his old age when he invited Jesus into his life as Savior. His contemporaries mocked him: An old man like you shouldnt be going to church! But my fathers choice to follow and worship the true God was definite, like the people Joshua addressed.
Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, Joshua challenged them. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (24:15). Their response was resolutethey chose to worship the Lord. Even after Joshua warned them to count the cost (vv.19-20), they still resolved to follow the Lord, recalling His deliverance, provision, and protection (vv.16-17,21).
Such a confident choice, however, calls for equally confident actions, as Joshua strongly reminded them: Put away the foreign gods . . . and incline your heart to the Lord (v.23). Have you made a choice to live for God?
Teach me all it means, Lord, to choose You. I want my words, actions, and attitudes to show the love for You that I have in my heart. You are worthy of far more than I could ever do.
A definite choice demands definite actions.

Yes, again. And it followed basically the same path as the ones from a couple of years ago. I’m glad my kids live north of that spot. LOL!

Thanks, MY. It startled me when I got the text that the kids were in their shelter. I had no idea there was bad weather up there.
It actually was so fast that the people there had little time to get to a safe place.
