Rep. Peter King (R-NY) appeared on CNNs The Situation Room Monday afternoon and when Wolf Blitzer asked him to explain his statement that compared Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to a carnival barker, the Republican congressman opted not to walk back his comments but instead take about a dozen steps forward.
We need intelligent debate in the country. Ted Cruz may be an intelligent person, but he doesnt carry out an intelligent debate, King said. He oversimplifies, he exaggerates and he basically led the Republican Party over the cliff in the fall of 2013. He has shown no qualifications, no legislation being passed, doesnt provide leadership and he has no real experience. So, to me, he is just a guy with a big mouth and no results.
But would King support Cruz if he ended up becoming the Republican Party nominee for 2016?
I hope that day never comes, King told Blitzer. I will jump off that bridge when we come to iy"

Say, “Geronimo!!”, Mr. King.
The last refuge of a failed debater is the ad hominem attack.
When you can’t argue the merits, you abuse the opposition.
King is a superficial thinker in someone’s pocket, and kept there because he responds to the puppet strings so well.
conservatives once again eating their own.......
I want to pick the bridge.
OK... A word warning, but this was my first song thought:

For that reason alone, I hope Cruz gets the nomination.
For your safety Mr. King I would like to send you this anvil shaped flotation device. Please strap it onto your lap to ensure your safety..

Unfortunately though, he's as likely to follow thru on this as Alec Baldwin was likely to keep his pledge to "move to France" if Bush was re-elected.
Conservative groups really dropped the ball by not making it a priority to remove this cancer from the GOP after his treason during the Clinton impeachment. King fooled gullible conservatives for the next decade and now its virtually impossible to purge him during a primary.
Promise?
He doesn’t appear to have faced a serious primary challenger, ever.

Someone should try. Maybe a self-funder.
He should jump regardless.
I think Jackass! would be appropriate in this case.
All he needs is a flowery headscarf and he would loook like a old Russian babushka.
About as sincere as Alec Baldwin’s and others was to leave the country if W was elected. That said I don’t wish King to commit suicide but he should bungee off one of the bridges of NYC to fulfil his intentions and show he is a man of integrity should his “nightmare” come to pass. Yeah I know...sarcasm off.
