The recent bulldozing by the Islamic State (ISIS) of the ancient cities of Nimrud, Hatra, and Korsabad, three of the world's greatest archaeological and cultural sites, is just this group latest round of assaults across the large area under its control. Since January 2014, the flamboyantly barbaric ISIS has blown up Shi'i mosques, bulldozed churches, pulverized shrines, and plundered museums.
Worse, the ISIS record fits into an old and common pattern of destruction of historical artifacts by Muslims.

If the civilized world is to survive, it must recognize Islam for what it really is: It’s not a religion, form of government, or anything recognizable to the civilized mind. Islam is a disease, an incurable disease of the mind that is highly contagious among the feeble minded and is now spreading among the world’s feeble minded at an epidemic rate. As with any disease, one can’t reason with this disease, negotiate with it, or treat in any manner other than how one would treat any other incurable disease.
Past efforts to contain this disease have failed. Now, carriers of this Plague of Islam must be eradicated wherever they're found, for if they're not, this disease will eventually end not just Western Civilization, but it will undo over 5,000 years of human civilization.
Where is the ‘’archaeological community’s’’ outrage at this? This is their livelihood that being plowed under. No more chairs on this in universities, no more field trips and big grants to do the digs. It’s these elitist types who are so quick to condemn Western Civilization as barbaric and the modern-day barbarians are stealing away their livelihood.

I can recall many in the archaeological community dumping on GW Bush over the Iraq war over the alleged destruction of all sorts of sites and items of interest during that conflict. Yet once that country was (for the most part) liberated they said they were able to visit places that they had not been to in years because of Saddam’s rule.
Bloody bunch of hypocrites. Not a peep out of them as precious ancient history and their livelihoods are plowed under. Cowards.
It seems odd that they bulldoze the past, but live in it.

History testifies to the falsehood of islam. 3000 year old cultures accomplished more than modern day muslims. That is why all traces of those cultures must be destroyed. Muslims believe in a false version of Christian and Jewish history: texts and artifacts testify to the falseness of Mohammed’s version history. That’s why they must be destroyed.
