Four days before elections, most surveys have Netanyahus party 3-4 seats behind Herzogs
On the last weekend before Tuesdays general election, Israeli media published the final polls for the current election cycle before a four-day moratorium on surveys.
The Zionist Union kept its lead over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahus Likud party in those polls, with most giving Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livnis joint list a 3-4 seat edge over its competitor.
A Maariv poll had Zionist Union with 25 and Likud with 21. Yesh Atid was tied with the Joint (Arab) List for 13, with Jewish Home trailing at 11. These were followed by Kulanu 10, Shas 7, United Torah Judaism 6, Meretz and Yachad 5 each, and Foreign Minister Avigdor Libermans Yisrael Beytenu dangling over the edge with 4 mandates the minimum requirement to enter the Knesset.
A Walla News survey was slightly more favorable to Netanyahu, giving Zionist Union only a two-seat lead, with 25 mandates to his 23. The poll gave Yesh Atid and the Joint Arab List 12 each, followed by Jewish Home 11, Kulanu 9, Shas and UTJ 7, Yisrael Beytenu 6, and Yachad and Meretz both at a precarious 4.
A Yedioth Ahronoth poll gave Zionist Union 26 Knesset seats over Likuds 22. Third was the Joint Arab List with 13. Next were Yesh Atid and Jewish Home at 12 each, Kulanu 8, Shas 7, UTJ 6, Yisrael Beytenu and Meretz with 5 each, and Yachad 4.
A Channel 1 poll had Zionist Union at 25, Likud 22, Yesh Atid and the Joint Arab List 12 each, Jewish Home 11, Kulanu 9, Shas 8, UTJ 7, Yisrael Beytenu 6, Meretz and Yachad 4.

The Jews self destruct? Or just bad polling?
Netanyahu acknowledged Thursday that theres a real danger he would be ousted as prime minister.
Very troublesome sign.
What would be the net change from the current balance, and how does the coalition math sort out?
Are there any Israelis on FR right now that can give us any hope?
This would be the final nail in the coffin for the free west. Europe is teetering. We’re sliding downhill fast. Bad leadership in Israel would open the doors to all sorts of pro-radical agreements. Probably the end to Israel and America as we know it.
Not sure Bibi’s comments are troublesome. What is he supposed to say at this point? If he acts like he’s got it in the bag he’ll come across as arrogant and fire up the opposition at the last minute.
If he comes across as concerned, he can be seen as reasonable and fire up his own base.
It’s hard to believe the people of Israel would allow Iran a victory by refusing to elect Likud.
The Obama Machine extends all the way to Israel and he is interfering in a foreign election.
Does this suggest that Israelis are ready to surrender to Iran and ISIS? That seems impossible.
Too many immigrants from NYC?
I pray they don’t make the same mistake America made....twice.
It’s like there were scales over America’s eyes in order to bring this disaster about - as though it was supposed to happen.
I fear Israel may have scales over their eyes as well.
The “Holocaust Part II” is being readied to open and will be far worse than “Part I”.
Remember how stunned the world was when W won his second term -’how could 65 million people be so stupid!- ? Voters tend to support their leader when under dire threat and during war. Let’s hope and Pray, Lord, that you protect Israel by keeping this fine man as their defender, Amen.
Lets hope false polling by a leftwing media is part of the strategy Obama’s team have exported to Israel this election.
Coalitions are as they are.
Did Barry’s people teach the Zionist Union how to steal elections like he did? It is sad to see Israel make this fatal mistake. It will most likely lead to Israel being wiped out by Iranian nukes.
Who is counting the votes?
Obama’s protest against Net’s coming takes on an even greater significance AND MAKES MORE SENSE. Obama is for the other guy and it appears he has activists in Israel.
I hope Israel doesn’t take an electoral cyanide pill.
Re-elect Bibi.
