WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton exclusively used a personal email account to conduct government business as secretary of state, State Department officials said, and may have violated federal requirements that officials’ correspondence be retained as part of the agency’s record.
Mrs. Clinton did not have a government email address during her four-year tenure at the State Department. Her aides took no actions to have her personal emails preserved on department servers at the time, as required by the Federal Records Act.

Block access to any personal email accounts and log any attempt to access said accounts, then publish that online for the public to see.
Yes, I believe it looks that way. And, Hillary likes greased skids, crowns and coronations on ALL of her endeavors, whether they be nefarious or otherwise.
Her ship is listing and if she can’t get a grip, or if Warren signals she’s getting in, Hillary may retire her obsession for the Presidency of the United States.

We all know nothing will get done. No ‘bottom’ will be found. Some patsy will be fired and the show will go on, no matter how many Laws or how egregious the ‘faux-pas’

The law related to these emails was enacted after Hillary Clinton left office; therefore she didn’t break the law.
Thanks for the two year old link. Apparently she can now just say “that’s old news” and somehow doesn’t matter, while it makes things more apparent the news resurfaced as a deflection on Bibi’s speech.
I find the overwhelming proclamations of irrelevancy on this thread fascinating. So many FReepers really need this to mean nothing. What all y’all are leaving out is that this info was known and released in a quiet way for two years now, but never portrayed as brazenly and negatively as it just has been. And, it is clearly criminal-level material. So someone wanted to hit her hard over something she really didn’t need to “get out” because it was already out.
And as for it hiding behind Bibi, timewise that’s like an elephant trying to hide behind a telephone pole. Bibi comes and goes, this thing is going to stay around and grow, because it cannot be explained away as remotely reasonable. She was a cabinet member head of one of the most sensitive agencies who used an open, private email system instead of the encrypted government system designed for her massive and indisputable high-secrecy requirements. It’s utterly indefensible on secrecy grounds alone, and points directly to her evading both government oversight and protection of intelligence secrets of the highest order - AND she’s been shown to have used her office to collect money from foreign states for her private, personal organisation. So connect the two dots and look at the reason she broke the federal email law and basically EVERY intelligence secrecy law.
This has legs - it is NOT going to help her run for President!
In fact, millions will do nothing.

I do not work for the government, I work for a private corporation.
Every year we have to sign off on our understanding of data security.
That includes our understanding of preserving email communications.
Any breach of that understanding can result in immediate dismissal.
I can not access my yahoomail or gmail accounts from my company computer.
Not only am I “not supposed to”, but, access is blocked by our software security.
Any email that arrives from outside of our system has a warning header inserted
that says “...Warning-this email did not originate from within...”
and any links inside that email are deactivated.
Repeat, I do not work for the government, I work for a private corporation.
All true and accurate, except she never has really worked there, nor intended to work there when named.
Her title was just for show, to stroke her ego and satisfy her craving for her number one priority, attention. And a candy-cane for those that voted for her.

I did a MX record lookup and it points to a mail filtering service owned by McAfee. I read somewhere that her email isn’t working anymore but a SMTP test shows it’s still active so either McAfee is holding her email or the email server is kicking everything back. I wonder if they keep email archives. I doubt it but it wouldn’t hurt to check.
The irony is that people would actually send her official correspondence to her private account. (”Why am I writing this important message to a .com address? Why isn’t it .gov?” for example) Unless she masked it in some way.
