Minnesota state Rep. Tony Cornish says the al-Shabaab threat against the
Mall of America should be enough to motivate mall owners to drop their no guns policy so citizens can protect themselves.
Mr. Cornish, a Republican who also chairs the House Public Safety Committee, said the Mall of America has interpreted state concealed carry laws incorrectly, and hes intent on challenging them for it, a local CBS affiliate reported.
This is completely ridiculous. The complete opposite of what they should be doing, he said. If were threatened with an attack, the last thing you want to do is disarm citizens.
The Republicans comments come after a tweet sent from the Mall of Americas Twitter account said, The mall bans all guns from the premises, youll note this clearly at each entrance door.

One would think so.
Common knowledge would dictate that many law-abiding conceal/carry owners are ignoring this and carrying anyway...just in case.
What are the mall owners going to do if a gun carrying citizen intervenes and kills/disarms a terrorist? Prosecute him?
That sign right there will stop the terrorists in their tracks, won’t it?
If were threatened with an attack, the last thing you want to do is disarm citizens.
OMG
There’s a Republican with sense still in MN?
I would just not shop there.
But that’s just me.
I don’t feel they are safe even without terrorists.
I would suggest that any and all concerned about the possibility of a terror attack at the Mall of America that is currently in the planning stages among certain ethnic groups in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin should give serious consideration to shopping at smaller mom-and-pop stores nearer home, away from large concentrations of unarmed sitting duck cannon fodder Americans.
Tony Cornish is as good as it gets on Minnesota 2A issues. Great to see him speaking out and standing up for our rights — as usual.
Effa malls and the isis.
What are we there for? An Orange Julius?
You know they will.
smirk.
With DHS funding under pressure it is a bit coincidental to have this threat.
Why do you feel the need to carry a concealed pistol?
“Because a cop will not fit in my pocket”
Come on now...If a bunch of foreigners imported in here by govenrment decide to murder several dozen innocents at this gawdy mall, we can all have more candle light vigils, sob and hold hands..
Americans have become very good at this.
I remind everyone of that little ol’Texas restaurant massacre, where that witness left her gun in the truck.
My life is more important, than some mall owner’s tighjty whitey shorts being in a twist.
Because of the mall sign, anyone that gets injured from any such attack, should sue the mall owners for THEIR house(s), THEIR vehicles, THEIR monies for the rest of the injured party’s natural lives, since THE INJURED PARTY might not be able to live the life they have lived, because of having their 2nd Amendment rights illegally curbed, and denied their right to self-preservation.
Bingo, the regime is pulling out all stops.
Republicans Want Minnesotans to Die!!
Film at 11:00.
Or send them back en-masse back to Africa.
screw the bans , carry anyway
who’s going to know ?
Oddly enough, leftists think it would.
I was a ‘Mall Ninja’ for a while. They didn’t even want me having the Swiss Army Knife on my keychain. So yeah, that gig didn’t last very long.
