WASHINGTON — The nation’s top homeland security official urged shoppers on Sunday to be “particularly careful” in visiting the Mall of America, a sprawling shopping center outside Minneapolis, after it was targeted for a terrorist attack in a video posted by a radical Islamist group.
“If anyone is planning to go to the Mall of America today, they’ve got to be particularly careful,” the official, Jeh C. Johnson, the secretary of Homeland Security, said on CNN.

I am surprised he did not say that hearing that they were going to attack malls, the administration was going to conduct job fairs in all of the large malls to appease the terrorists with good jobs. /no sarc

CCW in MN: you’re fine carrying even if an establishment has “no guns” posted. If someone sees you’re carrying, and then management asks you to leave, you are still not in violation of the law. However, if you refuse to leave after being asked to leave (because your weapon was seen), you can be charged with a misdemeanor of sorts with a nominal fine- I beleive 50 to 7( (can’t recall).

Does anyone remember a novel written a few years ago with this scenario? Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, Baldacci??? I remember the story but I’ll be darned if I can recall who wrote it. I’m not even sure it referred to the MOA but the description and state where it was located left nothing to the imagination. It’s probably sitting on my bookshelves right now but I’m sure I’d look right over it. It’s impossible to recall the names of all the books someone reads.
