Former Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Mayor Kasim Reed and the city, saying he was fired last month because of his religion. Attorneys with faith-based nonprofit Alliance Defending Freedom are representing Cochran in the federal case, which was filed Wednesday.

In a liberal society, we no longer have freedom of speech, nor do we have freedom of religion. The draconian “laws” of the Left Wing resemble something out of Nazi Germany
In Germany in the early days of Nazi rule Jews were forced out of business and the civil service.
In the case of Brendan Eich being forced out as CEO of Mozilla and this case of the Atlanta Fire Chief being fired
we see history repeating itself.
Add to that the talk of government officials in this country about “extreme religion” and you see the rationale for this tearing up of the First Amendment like its a roll of toilet paper.
I see the LW becoming the next fascist party in the world, and that young children will be taught to turn their parents in if they are heard disagreeing with the government. Brown Shirt liberals will be given authority to search your homes at will. Yeah, and if you have a bible, they will arrest you
maybe if the judiciary actually did their job instead of rubber stamping anything liberal
Gee, you’d think there was actually a Bill of Rights...
but, no, not any longer.
And one of the reasons this is going to court is because mayor kasim reed was offended that the fire chief didn’t get his permission to publish this book. He is taking narcicism lessons from another of his egotistical “leaders”.
Great to see that Kelvin Cochran has a pair and has stood up to Reed and Atlanta’s gay mafia. Really really tired of being held hostage to the PC crowd here and nationwide.
I bet Cochran voted Obama...not once, but twice!
Now he comes crawling to the ADF when the chips fall down?
GOOD!! But sadly, the liberal courts will toss out his case.
A muslim in prison was told off the courts he has a right to grow a beard due to his freedom of religion.
A court ruled a Christian couple who refused to bake a cake for two homosexuals did not have a right to their freedom of religion.
See the difference here?
Christians are involved in a holy war, but sadly the left wing NAZIS work in the media, Hollywood and, colleges.
I agree, the Left Wing “liberals” have become fascists, well they have been fascists for years
they just don’t hide it anymore and now because they have their guy {fairy} in the white house then they have been emboldened .
What is your point?
I am glad to see Obama voters awaken to the truth.
Have some forgiveness and grace in your heart. None of us are perfect.
Forgive what? That these jerks got us to where we are hating on conservatives and now that the guns are pointed at them, they squeal and act as if they’ve been on our side all along?
He’s learning a lesson he’ll never forget now. What he’s learning we knew long ago,
Forgive someone who regrets behaving in a wrong manner, yes.
Have you never needed that? Needed a hand? The ADF is backing him.
Then again {looking at the article pictures} he may well have not for Obama nor likely did the GOP REP on his right he is talking too.
Who hasn’t?
I just find it poetic that a lot of the initial Obama worshippers are now feeling the heat when the rubber meets the road.
Who knows?
But I get so friggin’ tired of the “Hope & Change” morons who voted for zero with elation, now regret their decision. I have a Christian BIL who voted for him, and every time he complains about his policies, I just say—”thank yourself and folks like you for those policies”.
If this guy is one of them (I realize I’m making a broad ASSumption) then I could really care a less about his plight.
Sue me!
I understand that poetic feeling, believe me. My point is we ought not stop there. Shoving stupid decisions in the face of people who fail won’t help them or us or the advancement of worthwhile values....in fact, it may drive them away.
