Echo Lake Entertainment is set to release its independent film, Truth, the story of former CBS anchor Dan Rather’s self-destruction. It’s based on the 2006 book Truth and Duty: The Press, The President, and the Privilege of Power by Mary Mapes, the discredited CBS producer. Mapes documents and defends Rather’s 2004 attempts to use the forged “Killian documents” to portray former President George W. Bush as someone who shirked duty in Vietnam.

Especially Mapes, who knew from the outset that this story was bogus from a non-credible source.

Years ago I saw Mapes’ book in a dollar store for $1. This was not that long after it came out. Wonder how much $ they will lose on this film.

Was curious how the disgraceful, disgusting BS artist Mary Mapes had been doing in terms of her career as a journalist, since she humiliated herself by publicly admitting her collaboration with Rather in "Bush was AWOL" hoax. One might think that she'd have moved on to a new job with another leftist media outlet, MSNBC perhaps.
Does anyone know how many copies Mapes' book (defending her sleazy plot against Bush and his presidential campaign) sold? My guess is not very many. Now the left wants double down for her by creating a film version of the story?
If any film is to be boycotted it's this one!!!

If the Movie slanders, which it will, the Freepers that figured out that Rather’s Documents were fabricated, the Producers should be sued.
