No Bologna! Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Crashes Near Harrisburg (sustains damage to bun)

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be off the road for a while.

The truck slammed into a pole near Harrisburg today. No one was hurt, but the truck is pretty banged up, including a smashed windshield and serious damage to the front of the “bun” fender.

Oscar Mayer has several “wienermobiles,” all shaped like a hot dog bun.

We made a run from Harrisburg to Happy Valley today, and while headed west on Rt. 322 we saw the wiener mobile over in the other lanes happily headed eastbound. What a shock to learn that they had a wreck!

Yes, when the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) crash-tested these Wienermobiles, they gave them the wurst rating.
