We now know why it appears that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg appeared to fall asleep during President Barack Obamas State of the Union address last month she was drinking beforehand.

I’ve haven’t been totally sober since 2009.
It helps to numb the utter insanity.
Well.. that might explain some of her decisions over the years...
That needs to have a little “hic” bubble over her head
Scalia, Kennedy, Ginsberg, and Breyer are all approaching or exceeding 80. The next president may have the chance to appoint 4 SC judges.
Why should she stay awake & listen to arguments? Being a progressive all she needs to make a ruling is the ethnicity, income and sexual preference of the party making the argument.
Actually, they all were drinking. Ginsburg just had the best BUZZWORD BINGO card.
“Batsh!t crazy, hopeless liberal and/or drinking/drugs problem . . .”

All good criticisms . . . except: drunk-blogging is the only way to keep sanity when watching the SOTU speech; imagine how difficult it would be to have to be in the hall while sober.
Liberals realize THIS is the socialist utopia they’d always dreamed of and the reality of it sucks.
They would have thrown me out because I’d have been cursing my butt off at that asshat.
How many of the prigs on this thread would have been willing to delay their own dinners till after the One got through his recitation? You wouldn’t be pulling up to the table till 10 or later. The hell with that. I’m with Ginsburg on this: start the evening off with a couple of cocktails and some wine with an early dinner to make the occasion bearable. So she fell asleep. BFD.
Ruth Buzzy had a buzz on. I don’t blame her as I had to drink two martini’s to get through it myself.
The founders screwed up when it came to the Court-—allowing unaccountable justices to remain appointed for life. The little old leftist gremlin should be home enjoying retirement.
Yes, correct. My one hope is that Scalia remains healthy, alert and vigilant until he’s past 100. The other two I don’t care about as long as it isn’t a Democrat that gets to nominate their replacements.
The 21st “crumbling infrastructure” really primed the pump, but it was the 114th “me, myself, and I” that finally sent her ‘round the bend.
She wasn’t 100% continent for the speech either.
I can’t blame her. If I had to listen to that guy blather on and on about himself I’d want a stiff drink or two too.
Republican appointed SC justices in our time. Stevens, O’Connor, Souter, Kennedy and RobertsCare. The Dems screw us with a power drill while the Repubs use a slow turn hand screwdriver. Same result-—
Poor woman. She may be realizing what she’s done.
Wait until June when 5 of the black robed drunk tyrants shove gay marriage down our collective throats. Not even a river of wine will wash away that shame of a legal perversion.
