Kayla Mueller protested Israel for ISM. PalSolidarity reported:
Today, 10th February, Kayla Muellers family confirmed she has been killed.
Abdullah Abu Rahma, coordinator of the popular committee in the village of Bilin where Kayla joined the protests, told ISM: Kayla came to Palestine to stand in solidarity with us. She marched with us and faced the military that occupies our land side by side with us. For this, Kayla will always live in our hearts. We send all our support to her family and will continue, like Kayla, to work against injustice wherever it is.
Kayla Mueller volunteered with the International Solidarity Movement from August to September of 2010...

Yup.
I actually rather tire of this “Jew-hater” thing because someone doesn’t like the nation of Israel or what it is doing/not doing. There is the Israeli nation and there is the Jewish religion (possibly also the ethnicity).
To me seems like jumping to baseless conclusions as many liberals do. (i.e., You approve of guns so ipso-facto murderer!)
So yes, stupid Israel-basher, but not necessarily “anti-Semite” anti-Jew.
I think you are probably right.
Again, just because someone hates Israel does not mean they hate Jews. It’s a logical fallacy.
You and I may be the only posters here that draw that distinction
Wifey and i talked about this last nite
Myself like most Christian Americans support Israel and I personally like Bibi a lot
But I’ve lived all over the western world where it’s different
Many more westerners outside the US are more sympathetic to the Palis than here and especially on FR
But that doesn’t mean de facto anti Semitic by any point
It just means most westerners think some Palis have a legit gripe
99% here brook none of that
Freepers like stuff simple and one size fits all
They are human like anyone else and love to remonstrate with bigotry accusations when they can....its a siren call
And around here calling folks anti Semite is about all we got
I grew up southern baptist where we never quite had the intertwine of Christianity and Zionist providence I always see here
The irony is so thick.....some Christians views Jews like talismans to the Rapture
But it’s an unrequited love if ever there was one
Perhaps the boyfriend is like the fellow described in the link below. This link is about a young man who went to Syria because he wanted to live with ISIL and Sharia law. Then he decided to leave. Many comments, few complementary.

FR is skewed by the fact that Jew-haters (or those reasonably suspected of being so) get banned.
The reason for a mostly anonymous, mostly public site to discourage Jew-haters is because they will turn the site into a one-trick pony if allowed free rein. Nobody likes boring.
The “talisman to the Rapture” is not lost on Jews, who endeavor to be sure the “love” is unrequited.
My understanding is that her boyfriend is Syrian or Syrian-American, who was also captured. Later released. And underwent much scrutiny by U.S. intelligence/national security officials for obvious reasons. Cleared of anything nefarious. Went to mideast to plead for his girlfriend's life.
Ping to #103 for your interest.
Thanks. I appreciate the comments.
I agree with your comments. I did see the anti-war movement in the 60s and 70s as a communist movement, because dollars drive those activities. Those dollars came from communists IMO.
In Europe the Greens (Green Party / can’t remember the exact name now) were the driving force. It was always my thought that if an audit was made, all their money would be found to come from the U. S. S. R.
Yes, useful idiots were involved. They are today also.
The truly scarey thing today is that Islam is not identified as a threat by the powers that be.
At least in the 60s and 70s, we all agree the treat communism was. Today hardly anyone sees Islam or it’s sleepers as a threat.
We would never have allowed communists to come here at will in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Today we allow Islamic adherents come here. I’m sure there are ‘some’ controls, but they sure don’t seem to be weeding out many.
We have over 30,000 Saudis here on student visas. We saw what 19 of them did on 09/11/2001.
It boggles the mind this sleep-walking into oblivion.
I asked to see my grand-daughters homework and she told me her teacher said parents and guardians were not to look at it. I looked anyway. There wasn’t anything wrong with the story, but this attitude is getting kids conditioned not to ask questions or talk to their parents about school stuff.
This sort of attitude fosters the idea of keeping things from parents. I see no good coming from this.
