Report: ‘Post Apocalyptic’ Streets of LA Piled with Tons of Garbage

KNBC Los Angeles investigative reporter Randy Mac’s described the streets of L.A. as a “post apocalyptic scene,” as he rode along with the cities one, 13-man trash crew for the nearly 500-square-mile city.

Mac reported, “According to a report commissioned by the City Administrator’s office, only 35 percent of LA’s streets are cleaned regularly. The constant state of uncleanliness is threatening LA’s image, making some areas appear unsafe and ungoverned.”

The trash crew supervisor Russell Zamora told Mac there was “on a daily basis, somewhere from 30 to 40 tons a day,” of illegally dumped garbage throughout the city.

Same with the after school organized sports crowds at local schools...

This is true in Cherry Hill, NJ as well. Where they claimed the schools are known "worldwide" for their "excellence". Median income was $87,392 in 2010.

I go there to run, and all the little darlings leave water bottles athletic tape, papers, wrappers, etc. all over the field and track. I see the letter 'G' in my nightmares. Meanwhile the new tennis court is already falling apart from maintenance worker incompetence, weeds grow from every crack and crevice...

But ask the kids about the environment, and they'll reveal themselves as good little brain dead liberals who believe in global warming, carbon footprints etc. But are too self centered and lazy to fix the things that can fix in their own backyard.

Planned parenthood and birth control use to be the liberal patriotic way to conserve precious natural resources and protect the environment. That's pretty meaningless now.

This is the kind of LA behavior that California government will likely punish the whole state to correct.

Here in the SF Bay Area, cities instituted policies of large pickups several times a year. You schedule ahead of time with the sanitation crew, and you're allowed to put out perhaps ten large items of any kind - actual number depends on city. No extra cost on your garbage bill, extra pickups are free. We've put out clothes dryers, stoves, toilets, beds, full large garbage bags - you name it. Gets take away along with your regular weekly garbage. This has had a huge impact on keeping neighborhoods clean. LA could learn something from their neighbors up north.

I have a lot of respect for waste haulers. They do an invaluable service for society.

This is terrible for a large city in the UNITED STATES to be decaying this way, but it could all be foreseen by anyone with a modicum of sense.

In addition to the illegals, watch the school age kiddies...They have no issues with leaving trails of trash behind them.

Can confirm. I teach middle school in L.A., downtown. They think nothing of it. Some of them also spit on the floor in the halls.

There is just no letting up on these “trashy” stories. They keep “mounting” up day after day after day. I’m afraid America as we knew it is gone forever. Be looking for the One who will “clean it all up” one day. He may be arriving sooner than one thinks.
