KNBC Los Angeles investigative reporter Randy Mac’s described the streets of L.A. as a “post apocalyptic scene,” as he rode along with the cities one, 13-man trash crew for the nearly 500-square-mile city.

Mac reported, “According to a report commissioned by the City Administrator’s office, only 35 percent of LA’s streets are cleaned regularly. The constant state of uncleanliness is threatening LA’s image, making some areas appear unsafe and ungoverned.”

The trash crew supervisor Russell Zamora told Mac there was “on a daily basis, somewhere from 30 to 40 tons a day,” of illegally dumped garbage throughout the city.

What are they going to do with all the radio active debris from Japan that is expected to wash up on the West Coast?

And this is a surprise to whom, exactly?

The bipartisan Treason Lobby turned over Los Angeles to the third world a few decades ago and American values like sanitation have been kicked out along with Americans themselves.

This is coming to the rest of you when Obama and his GOPe collaborators complete their amnesty plan. Viva Jeb Bush!

It’s like the water...You must conserve or we’ll fine you and on and on....All while importing millions more people who consume everything in sight.

They have to raise the taxes to hire more trash pickers...This kind of lunatic s**t is never ending.

You’re welcome. Jeb Bush tells us it’s “an act of love”. We are just ahead of the curve, the rest of you will catch up to us soon enough.

The result of which may well be disease at a level far beyond civilized countries.
This is a public health threat.

Central Americans in their country, just watch with bemusement when senior citizens from our country go on organized trash pick-up on their roads and beaches. It just does not occur to them to keep tidy, even in front of their own homes.

Last year, when I went to LA, all the freeways were incredibly littered. My husband said when he went there earlier this month the trash was piling up like the homeless.
And yet, he said there was a lot of redevelopment. He could not tell if they were getting better or worse.

(According to my husband, reading over my shoulder) We can’t expect to import a culture that does not mind trash as much as we do and tell them not to assimilate to our culture and expect a different result.

Excellent point and factually correct, but don’t hold your breath waiting for the LA Times to acknowledge it.

A few years ago I saw a six story apartment building in Memphis that sat right beside the railroad tracks. Each apartment had a terrace. The garbage between the track and the building was about 5 feet high. People were just throwing it over the railing. I wonder what the people on the first floor think. And why does the city allow it?

I understand not throwing tissue down the crapper if it’s on a septic system. But is it against the law to throw it down there period?

Ironic.

The first time I visited L.A. as a youngster in the early 1970’s, one of the first things I noticed was the spotless streets. Not a scrap of paper anywhere.

Times have changed, and not for the better.

Mexicanization - we are to adapt to THEM.

We're constantly told how "hardworking" they are, yet somehow every neighborhood they invade becomes a filthy dump.
