And it's only February 3rd!
AZ, KS, MA, MN, MO, MT, ND, NE, NJ, NH, NM, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WY.
In addition, three states actually passed applications last year, FL, AK and GA.
That's 23 out of 34 states well on their way!
IBTJBS
Go, go, go!! Take it back!!
Runaway! Runaway!!!!! Runaway!!!!! Convention!!!!
OMG start crapping your drawers NOW!!!!!
WAH WAH WAH!!!!
(to all those people who think that this is not IN the existing constitution, or that this is a “CON-CON” when all it is just the STATES PROPOSING amendments, just like CONGRESS can PROPOSE THEM.)
Honor the Constution, use the Consitution to give the power BACK to the States!
Support Article V States Amendment Proposals!
A Constitutional Convention is a wide open affair. Be careful what you wish for. The Articles’ Congress that called the Convention in Philadelphia certainly got more than they expected.
Virginia Weighs Joining Convention of States Effort to Rein In Federal Powers
No its not..that’s total BS that Mark Levin has taken that argument and destroyed yesterday. Nice try.
The Democrats and GOP-e get together and rewrite the constitution? What could possibly go wrong?
Yes, Virginia’s legislature is supposed to vote this week or next.
What is the agenda they are restricted to?
Has anyone seen a list of amendments they are going to propose? Or are those presented only after the doors are shut?
Have you read Mark Levin’s book. The amendments within would likely be a start.
So, 3 states passed last year, 20 additional states have filed and are sending the apps through their legislature this year. Even IF all 20 of those pass the apps this year, that leaves 11 more that need to get it through. If you do the math, this means we should see an Article V convention sometime around 2020-ish? How will this stop Obola?
Thanks for the ping.
Is that a total of 20 with 14 to go to make 34?
Any update on how far the other 14 are?
What happens when the lefties start making their proposals?
USMA 1965?
Uh... they get voted on by 3/4 of the states like every other amendment?
<>What happens when the lefties start making their proposals?<>
What does an amendment convention have to do with individual Lefties? Who do you expect to attend?

It is not a Constitutional Convention.
It is a Convention of the States to propose Amendments to the Constitution.
Those amendments would still have to be ratified by the states.
Delegates would be selected by the state legislatures not the houses of congress.
The legislatures could legally limit the powers of the delegates to propose amendments or vote for proposed amendments without that legislatures approval.
It would not be the free for all that you seem to believe. Consider the time we live in. More state legislatures are in the hands of conservative Republicans than at any time in history. This is the time to strike for the restoration of the Republic.
