Football fans will be discouraged from drinking non-union beers like Guinness and Heineken while theyre at Super Bowl parties.
During Sundays Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, labor groups are hoping to raise awareness about beer companies that are unionized and pay their employees good wages.
Labor 411s list of approved beers for the Super Bowl includes companies like Stella Artois, which boasts strong union membership.
But Guinness, Heineken, Corona, Flying Dog, and many other beermakers did not make the list, said Robert Fulton, the editorial director of Labor 411.
"If youre out making your choice between whether you want Stella or Heineken, for example, we would encourage Stella, Fulton said.
The Super Bowl beer list includes more than 200 brews from around the country, such as Budweiser, Miller Light, Coors, Blue Moon, Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR), and Shock Top. Fulton said he is focusing on promoting these beers on game day.
And rest assured Patriots fans, the Boston-owned beer Sam Adams is on the list of approved "union beers."
But the group hopes union supporters think twice before sipping on a cold Guinness.
I support all non union biz...everywhere...everything
I didn't know that. I'd better stop drinking it. :)
Flying Dog, yes. Bud, no.
“Budweiser, Miller Light, Coors, Blue Moon, Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR), and Shock Top.”
These are “beers,” not actual beer.
Hm... All union made, all terrible. :P
Yuengling beer is great and its non unionscum!!!
Here is a list to avoid.

I guess non-union brewers pay minimum wage...?
I’m going to Walmart to buy some Yuengling.
oops, looks like you beat me to posting the list!
I don’t drink anymore, but if I did it would be locally brewed Sweetwater IPA while I watched the game, not the one’s mentioned.
Where's your heart? What and whom do you seek, and sacrifice/burn offerings/feasts to/for?
I don’t drink beer anymore...I have switched to the hard stuff....Scotch only.
Stella is owned by InBev, the same company that now owns Bud. In fact, it is considered in Europe to be a fairly low-end beer like Bud and has the nickname in Britain of ‘wifebeater’.
If you have to put that much thought into your choice of beer, you probably aren’t enjoying yourself.
“Guinness and Heineken”
Got it, thanks for the info.
Its no surprise that the union beer on that list is some of the worst “beer” I’ve ever had.
I have resumed drinking beer.
I drink Coronalita......... that is Corona in a 7 oz bottle. I don’t know if it is union or not
One hundred years ago alcohol peddlers used machine guns to force sellers to distribute their products .
Today they use the government, crooked politicians and union lawyers.
Less blood on the streets and much more effective,
