The Next War In The Middle East Has Begun: Israel Vows ‘To Act Powerfully On All Fronts’ [Psalms 83]
Right Side News ^ | 1/29/2015 | Michael Snyder

Israel and Hezbollah are at war. On top of everything else that is going on in the world, now we have a new war in the Middle East, and nobody is quite certain what is going to happen next. Israel has been preparing for this moment for more than 8 years. So has Hezbollah.

According to some reports, Hezbollah has amassed an arsenal of 50,000 rockets since the end of the Hezbollah-Israel war in 2006. If all-out warfare does erupt, we could potentially see tens of thousands of missiles rain down into an area not too much larger than the state of New Jersey. And of course the Israeli military is also much more sophisticated and much more powerful than it was back in 2006. If cooler heads do not prevail, we could be on the verge of witnessing a very bloody war. But right now nobody seems to be in the mood to back down...

Very troubling prognostications.

If I recall correctly, when things were dire for Israel once before she had nukes out on the tarmac ready to go.

I can't agree with you. Anyone who supports Christianity and other minorities is better than the mess that now exists. Assad, Mubarak, Saddam and Kaddafi among others did that. That should be the standard that propels us, not what's best for Israel.

While US policy is causing chaos in the Middle East, in Nigeria Christians are being slaughtered and imprisoned into slavery. Isn't that Nigerian excuse for a government be the one that US policy condemns?

Petra was uninhabited from about 400 AD to about 1900 AD
It was called the lost city until it was rediscovered by a German explorer

I never said we should let Christians be slaughtered!?! And I never said we should always do what is best for Israel

Why are you making a "Straw Man" and knocking it down?

I highly doubt that this will be a war of epic proportions. We are talking about dumb, backwards Islamists, not exactly Wehrmacht. The only reason that Hezbollah won the 2006 war is because Olmert tied the IDF’s hands, and Hezbollah didn’t have a second front to distract them. This time, I expect the IDF to advance all the way to the Litani river and beyond.

>>If they succeed in destroying Israel<<

Not going to happen. Cannot happen. God said so.

>>Jordan escapes annihilation during these wars fyi...<<

Not the country of Jordan as it now exists. Jordan will again be part of the nation of Israel when Jews flee for safekeeping by God. Amman Jordan is way up North from Petra.

Israel IS Christianity... unless you sort of think Christianity sort of, you know, replaced as it were, the Jewish covenants. Nah, surely not that. Right?

Israel is Christianity

Judaism doesn't accept Jesus as the son of God. How can you say Israel is Christianity?

I meant the Petra part...Moab is mentioned. The A/C for whatever reason doesn’t take control of Jordan however.

Knew I was forgetting a big one.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they all casually agreed to engage their independent hostilities simultaneously.
I _am_ surprised Russia has been as covert about their overt Crimean actions as they have been.
They’re all still skittish about the USA’s reaction, but like any bunch of bullies they’ll keep probing until they all shout “FU!” at once and have at it.

“ISIS is more of a nuisance...”

ISIS is “boots on the ground”. That, coupled with abject brutality, dominates. That’s what wins wars.

“And let’s get the ball rolling and say that Israel’s response is disproportionate.”

Only if you are doing it right.

The doctrine of ‘proportionate response’ is ridiculous. Slap a bear in the face, it will kill you. Monkey with a bear cub - give it a banana, the mother bear will kill you.

Taking out a training camp in exchange for a hotel bombing is idiotic.

If Islam was too expensive to practice, nobody would do it.
