Obama campaign team working to defeat Netanyahu in Israeli election (On the ground IN Israel!)
The Examiner ^ | 27 Jan 15

During Barack Obama's recent State of the Union speech, he told America he had no more campaigns to run. But it seems that statement flies in the face of reports that an organization known as “One Voice” has brought in what has been called a "five-man Obama team" to defeat Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Included in that five-man team is Jeremy Bird, the national field director for Obama's 2012 campaign, Dr. Aaron Lerner, Director of the Independent Media Review and Analysis, said Monday, citing a report at Haaretz.

That group, Dr. Lerner added, will run the anti-Netanyahu effort out of offices taking up the ground floor of a Tel Aviv office building. The campaign, known as V-2015, is careful not to support a specific party, but is working to ensure Netanyahu does not win Israel's March election...not subject to that country's campaign finance laws.

"And Obama, of course believes in protocol and propriety which is why he won't get involved," she wrote on Facebook. "No, he's not getting involved at all. He's just sending his 2012 field campaign manager to Israel to run a campaign to defeat Netanyahu. That's all. No interference whatsoever."

News of the team's arrival in Israel comes just days after the administration accused House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, of “breaking protocol” by inviting Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress.

And it's no secret that Obama doesn't like Netanyahu. "You're tired of him -- what about me? I have to deal with him every day," Obama said after former French President Nicolas Sarkozy called the Israeli prime minister a "liar."

According to its webpage, the "One Voice" movement boasts a number of powerful partners. Among the partners listed is Google, the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program and the United States State Department.

There was no coup in the Ukraine.

Other than that, I pretty much agree with you.

This misuse, abuse of his authority in the position of responsibility to our Constitution we the people have blessed him with should be rewarded with impeachment immediately if not sooner.

The World is NOT his to command.

Yep, I was in Israel right after Bibi lost.
You would have thought Moses had been elected with all the positive press.
We know for sure SerpentHead was involved, probably Podesta and much of Clintons inner circle.

It would not be illegal for you to go over to Israel to support Netanyahu in his re-election, and neither is it illegal for another person to go over there to offer their support in defeating Netanyahu.

If Reagan had tried this, to help out - say - Margaret Thatcher, there would have been an absolute outcry from the Democrat-controlled Congress.

There would have demands for investigations. There would have been demands to know if any taxpayer money was being spent in this effort to play international politics using the resources of the Executive Branch.

And a denial from the White House would not have been enough. No where near. Numerous audits would have been demanded. What White House resources were being used in this attempt to interfere with the internal politics of a diplomatic ally? Was any classified information being given to one side of a foreign political race? How much of his time was the President spending on this? Were any of his staffers assigned to keep track of the effort?

It should be illegal for obama to waste taxpayer money in an election involving an ally.

Israel doesn’t because it’s not illegal there.

I look at this two different ways: (1): What happens in Israel stays in Israel.....

(2): If harm of any kind comes to Israel then didn’t the Lord say he would take care of it?

The media in our two nations have become too cozy with the Left. It consumes them.

No, no coup. Eastern Ukraine disagreed with which trade group the sitting government signed an agreement with. So they had a street riot of an electoral minority, funded by Neuland and the US and EU governments, that launched firebombs, shot, and fought on street barricades until they were able to storm the seat of government and seize power.
Nobody could ever call THAT a coup. But since it was essentially Nazi led, maybe a putsch would be the better term. You may agree with the coup, but please don’t pretend this was some peaceful gathering, and then the president simply decided he should resign. And that this was a normal transition. It was obviously a coup by the losers of the last election. And a rather retarded one.
It went on peacefully for several months, until Svoboda and Right Sector showed up and turned it into a violent coup.

But lets not hijack the thread and make this thread about Ukraine. This thread is about Obama interfering in Israeli elections.

The campaign, known as V-2015, is careful not to support a specific party, but is working to ensure Netanyahu does not win Israel's March election. Because the effort is not supporting any specific candidate or party, Dr. Lerner said, foreign funds -- meaning monies coming from outside Israel -- raised by the campaign are not subject to that country's campaign finance laws.

Apparently, there are things that are illegal -- supporting a particular party or candidate. Working against someone, by this paragraph, appears to be within the allowed limits.

I'm betting there are even restrictions on that, but without an Israeli campaign law in front of us, it's hard to tell.

Netanyahu only needs to point this out to the voters, and he will reap plenty of votes from it.

It wasn’t a coup.

The sitting president lost support from his own party as well as the nation. He stepped down.

They have a parliamentary system over there. That’s how it works.
