Obama administration officials were worried about “unfounded allegations of human rights violations” by Nigerian troops, and that was enough to stop this. The many and heinous human rights violations of Boko Haram, the Congregation of the People of the Sunnah for Dawah and Jihad, would just have to continue.

interesting how Obama is so concerned about human rights violations by incompetent Nigerian army but unconcerned about slaughter of innocent civilians by Boko Haram, ISIS, etc. okay to prop up despot like Syrian Prez Assad but not okay to assist democratically elected Nigerian Prez Jonathan. Okay to send US troops to fight ebola but not okay to send them to kill islamo-fascists.
