Snow is expected to begin falling just before sunrise on Monday before the serious blizzard kicks in late in the afternoon and through Tuesday morning’s rush, forecasters said.

Garbage and recycling will be suspended Monday and Tuesday so New York’s Strongest can put full efforts into clearing up to 36 inches of snow.

Well, it ties up the city if the Mayor forgets to send out the snow trucks and sand the roads - as he did last year. Bloomberg also messed up one time. I got caught in that one. Most people walk to work (storekeepers usually sweep) or cross country ski to work. Many stay home for a day.

Why don’t you stop and think here for a moment. WHERE do they put all that snow? There’s nowhere to plow it to with nothing but streets with buildings on either side especially in Manhattan. They have to truck the snow out. It will make most places in NYC impassable. Ever been there?

You hit it correctly. They are already previewing their coming failures. Are the snowplow truck drivers going to have a slowdown for increased wages? Are the bureaucrats going to wring their hands and say there is nothing they can do? You know the bottom line is that they will blame human-caused increased CO2 levels for the extreme weather and call for more government controls to save the planet from ourselves. This is just the prelude to those charges no matter how bad the storm actually is.
