In a Weekly Standard piece titled, “The ‘American Sniper’ Freakout: Why the Left Can’t Tolerate This Movie,” Mark Hemingway does a fine job of breaking down exactly why the Left either hates “American Sniper” or is dishonestly claiming it is a left-wing movie. It’s a thorough, must-read that perfectly lays out the case. Outside the context of the film itself, there is an additional reason the Left can’t tolerate Eastwood’s masterpiece: every act of apostasy, even one, must be punished.
The Left cannot tolerate dissent. If just one thing sneaks through the institutions the Left is desperate to hold a monopoly on, it is immediately crushed, defamed, mocked, and Frankenstein-villaged until the end of time.
Just try to read this from Vox without seeing the vein throbbing in the author’s forehead:
Faced with a choice between altering its narrative to account for that gray versus altering the facts of history, the film chose the latter. It adopted an “honesty shmonesty” approach to the war: in its retelling, Iraq was a fight of Good Americans against Bad Terrorists, led by Chris Kyle, the Good-est American of them all.

If any of these liberals found themselves in the clutches and at the tender mercies of the sword wielding jihadists, their attitude about the military in general and snipers in particular would adjust quickly.
They are right there, right now.
But only temporarily, I’d expect.
As a public school teacher at one time who tried to uphold what was right, I’ve seen ALL of this happen. Very few people came to my aid. People get the kind of government they deserve, my father always said. And, he was right.
If and when this Nation is invaded Taibbi will be at the head of the line to welcome the enemy.

Good article. Hits the nail on the head on several areas where liberals go beserck when they can’t control what people think or say or do.

It’s because (as I’ve mentioned earlier) the Left doesn’t have a sniper hero that was killing American soldiers ....and they’re so upset ....
The thing is, most of the people in those orange jumpsuit execution videos were standard progressives. It hasn't changed their opinion yet, at least the ones not getting executed.

True. You have to wonder if as they are being beheaded the final thought was one of clarity such as “Whatever possessed me to come here?” or if their delusions persist to the end “If only they knew what a good person I really am!”
The risk is that it does not take much to expose the illusionary “majority” and “intelligent” voice they use to express their kooky world view. When the majority realizes they are not really the odd ones out, rather the normal majority of people who are suppressed by the left’s voice, the Left becomes the odd ones out - where they belong.
Homos are going to be sorry for badgering the public with this iron fist of hatred and intolerance. Their time of total control is coming to an end. And the liberal racists are going to have a backfire, too. They are regressives; not progressives. Leftists are aggressively disgusting and stupid people. Americans forgot for a bit of time.

The liberals' heads are exploding over the success of this movie. After all, they claim to know no one who has even seen it, including their own critical selves. That says a lot about their leftist enclaves and cliques and the progressive bubbles they live in. Only those living in or exposed to the real world of flyover country America, would understand instinctively why people are flocking to see America Sniper. They've had their fill of the drivel that liberals spew out and they won't have any more of it. Time to push back against the statists and progressives in this country and start regaining ground in recovering our America of old.
We understand that the like of Taibbi would rather call a difficult scrambled counter to a 911 surprize attack “stupid”, while being in awe of the 911 attack’s efficiency itself, smashing the head when in a feeble attempts of a nation to defend itself.
Of course he is never going to mock the stupid islamic videos. In fact they are fine with praising Che’s war, Islamic jihad conversion in our military, the war on poverty type idiocy...
Nahh, that would not be hip. It is hip to attack the self defense mechanisms of Americans, the natural self preservations, and instead promote fag scouting.
Well, just got back from seeing this fantastic movie!
Yep, I’m biased being a 30 yr Navy wife but I honestly can’t see how any one from either the left or the right can have a problem with this movie. It’s totally a movie about a remarkable service member and what motivated him and hoe his dedication affected his home life. It was told cleanly and concisely with no PC crap.
