Had the producers of Selma paid the actors the fair wages paid to the actors of Sniper rather than just gather people off the street, the 37% would have exploded to at least 47%

By not paying fair wages, the selma producers reduced the cost of production

Look up the concept of regression to the mean. If you understand it, you will see why it is a big deal. I would be happy to explain it to you if you wish.
