The state Supreme Court has voted to prohibit judges in California from belonging to the Boy Scouts because the 2.7 million-member youth organization bars gays and lesbians from becoming troop leaders.

Great point!
What about the other guys, the Heritage Scouts IIRC?
the boy scouts organization is dead.
Lawyers and preverts have destroyed it.
Violation of 1st Amendment
A judge gives up the right to freedom of association?
“From here its just a small jump to total Gov control of peoples lives.”
It’s no jump. We’re there. Ask a judge.
Even worse, the radicals left is applying this reasoning to the private sector, targeting poeple for associations with various groups and tracking their political donations.
This is an all-out war, a (so far) bloodless Bolshevik Revolution starting in November 2008.
What is Boy Scouts? (Dead to me.)
“Its no jump. Were there. Ask a judge.”
That’s a fact.
It’s California, where the inmates run the asylum.
It’s unconstitutional, but that doesn’t matter here.
And a California judge? What a crappy resume.
No thanks.
Homo’s vs Boy Scouts. Homo’s favored by a landslide...they have the referees on their side.
As soon as the BSA change their minds and let the troops be used as a stalking ground by predatory homosexuals all will be good. But you don’t snatch the lamb out of the jaws of the wolf and expect the jackals to stay silent.
Is there *any* mention of how many California judges are currently active in the Boy Scouts?
I suspect none. If they were, they would have long ago been sidetracked under the suspicion that they were conservatives, who are blackballed in California.
Doesn’t that violate the speech rights of judges?
Or, more accurately, freedom of association.
A lot of Americans died to get rid of the Nazis, and here they are in the Supreme Court of California.
This is a very interesting decision. Many California Judges are elected. Will those who are associated with BSA be precluded running for a judgeship? Would someone who merely have a son in the BSA be excluded? The assumption here is that all who are associated with the BSA are homophobic. Can it be assumed that all who are not associated with the BSA are not homophobic? I suspect that this would not stand up in Federal court.
Just judges? What about government employees in general?
The janitor in the courthouse? City bus drivers? Public school teachers? Police and firefighters?
Exactly, because if the BSA ever allowed for blatantly homosexual adult leaders they would be dead as an organization really fast. What they actually did in 2013 was allow individual troops to make their own charter, however, most charters decided to keep the exclusion of homosexuality, because it is well, the same reasoning as allowing a 31-year old man like me in close proximity or alone with a sixteen year old girl. Having someone surrounded by whomever you are really sexually attracted to is like playing with fire, most reasonable parents know that. Note that I said reasonable.
IIRC, weren’t a lot of Nazis pederasts?
