I believe in the forgiveness the Lord taught:

Luk 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
Luk 17:4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

No repentance, no forgiveness.

If you think about it, does God forgive us before we’ve repented? Nope. If we’re backsliding, does God forgive us and stop chastising us before we’ve repented? Nope. If we’re facing church discipline, does the church forgive us and welcome us back into the fold before we’ve repented? Nope. Forgiveness before repentance is therefore unbiblical.

And there’s also this little exchange:

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Those souls under the very altar of heaven are pleading that vengeance fall on those who had martyred them. It’s hard to make the case that they’re being forgiving. And they’re not rebuked for their attitude at all. Instead, they’re rewarded with white robes.

What could have possessed him?

My guess is that the girl was already dead. Killed by her mother.

The death penalty stands in Florida and no one is more deserving.

Unfortunately, here is what will happen. He will be in a solitary cell 23 hours a day for the next five years, until he is sentenced to death in 2020. The appeals will go on for another ten years, until 2030, while he sits in a solitary cell on death row. He will then petition for a new trial on some basis, which may or may not be granted. He will then sit on death row, waiting for a governor in the 2030s or 2040s to sign his death warrant, until he dies in 2053 of natural causes. If you don't believe me, check out the FL death penalty roster here, where you will note that at least 12 men who were sentenced to death in the 1970s are still awaiting the execution of their sentence.

Dear God, what is happening in this country.

He just had a very late term abortion. He was exercising his reproductive freedom. What's the problem?

What could have possessed him?

Same demon that inspires thousands of abortions EVERY SINGLE DAY in these God-forsaken United States.

Best way to go would be to toss him off the same bridge

With the Biblical millstone attached...

Not shocked. We continuously and for years have devalued life with the decision of Roe vs Wade in 1973. If we can abort and think of life as disposable according to our wishes and in line with whatever is “ convenient” for us at the time, then it only logically continues after a child has been born that we can continue the disposal as we see fit.

Child abuse rates skyrocketed after Roe and likely have never let up.

Twenty-first trimester abortion?

Where’s the mother?

I imagine things won't go well for him in prison.

He'll likely get to know hell on earth before whatever his fate may be in death.

This murderous creep has a history of domestic violence.

And yet, according to the article, he had custody of this little girl.

A bit more digging to find out why:

Mom has MS; father had full custody (ABC Action News)

It still doesn't make sense.

This guy was charged with domestic battery 6 times. (Domestic violence means nothing to the courts in custody cases.) Apparently this final act was revenge against the mother who'd started dating someone else.

(Rest in peace now, Phoebe, in the arms of our Lord.)

According to this article:

officer was driving home, . . . a Chrysler PT Cruiser passed him going an estimated 100 mph near the Bayway exit. The officer caught up with the car . . . the driver braked hard and stopped before continuing south. The driver . . . stopped again near the top of the Dick Misener Bridge on the Skyway approach. The officer stopped about a car length behind the Chrysler. Jonchuck then walked toward the officer, prompting the officer to draw his weapon. The officer said Jonchuck said something he couldn't make out, went to the passenger side of the vehicle and grabbed the girl, later identified as his daughter Phoebe Jonchuck, 5.

This is one of those stories that makes you wish the officer had shot this man when he had the chance.

He lifted her under her arms with her face pressed to his chest, walked to the edge of the bridge and dropped her to the water about 62 feet below. . . . . The officer immediately went to the side of the bridge to try to locate the girl. Jonchuck got back in his car and drove south over the Skyway.

After throwing her into the water, he still was able to get into his vehicle and drive off again.

You should probably reconsider airing your attempts at “guesswork”, at this time.

All local reports are that she was demonstrably alive when she was thrown off the bridge.Cops were attempting to pull Daddy over for speeding over 100 mph.

Daddy Dearest had custody of the little girl.

Daddy also has a record of domestic violence, among other things.

Do you personally know the people involved?

Thank you for your response.

All local reports are that she was demonstrably alive when she was thrown off the bridge.

When I commented, those reports were not available.

Cops were attempting to pull Daddy over for speeding over 100 mph.

Wish they had gotten him pulled over sooner.

Daddy Dearest had custody of the little girl.

Doesn't mean mommy wasn't there.

Daddy also has a record of domestic violence, among other things.

You should see Mommy's record.

Do you personally know the people involved?

No. I went and looked at both their record's , and it made me have second thoughts about JUST blaming the dad. Mom is not so innocent and COULD have had something to do with this.

I always try to read between the lines on a story, because the MEDIA has been known to get initial info wrong, or not have had time to get all the info. In some cases, the media flat out lies.

P.S.Post 34 contained this.

Doesn't fit the description of a lively (or alive) child. One would think she would at least be struggling or talking or something.

I am not doubting there are 'other' reports that say she was alive, but so far I haven't seen one.

PPS. Stupid cut and paste didn't work.

Here is what I was referring to:

He lifted her under her arms with her face pressed to his chest, walked to the edge of the bridge and dropped her to the water about 62 feet below. .
