Scalise and Boehner Must Go

Speaker John Boehner must go.

Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA), a John Boehner man running for re-election as House Republican Whip, is in trouble. And he too must go. By making a point of backing Scalise in the middle of this mess, so now is the Speaker himself in trouble. Mark Levin has long been out there saying Boehner needed to go. So too has Sean Hannity, with both updating their views over the holidays in light of the Scalise scandal. We’ll come back to this in a minute. But first, let’s focus on Scalise’s situation. It is a textbook case of what’s wrong with so-called “pragmatic conservatism”, the latter a phrase of Scalise ally and Washington lobbyist John Feehery.

Lamar White, Jr., the lefty blogger who is in the headlines for revealing Congressman Scalise’s speech to a leftist racist group – yes, that’s right, these were no conservatives Scalise was addressing all those years ago – has himself written for a leftist website bearing the name of one of history’s most prominent racists. On February 13, 2014, White contributed a piece titled “Why I Will Vote For Representative John Bel Edwards (After He Clarified His Position On The War On Drugs)” to a progressive web site called The Daily Kingfish. “Kingfish,” of course, was the nickname of one-time far-left populist Louisiana governor and senator Huey Long, a nickname deliberately taken from a black character on the racially controversial 1930s Amos n’ Andy radio show. And as with all Leftists then and now, Long was a race-card player extraordinaire. Says biographer Harry T. Williams of Long in his Pulitzer Prize winning biography of Long:

Of course the liberals are silent about Soetoro sitting in the pews all those years soaking up all of the vicious vile racist vomit spewed forth by “Rev.” Wright.

The only mess is a MSM trumped up mess. Why are conservatives buying into this disgusting race baiting.

Do they really think Boehner would NOT back Scalise when the media are flat out lying.

Sheesh. Both left and right are screwy on this one.

Two questions.

Do you want Boner to be ousted as speaker?

Do you want him weakened as speaker?

I say yes to both questions with the former being preferable.
