Arrests plummet 66% with NYPD in virtual work stoppage

It’s not a slowdown — it’s a virtual work stoppage.

NYPD traffic tickets and summonses for minor offenses have dropped off by a staggering 94 percent following the execution of two cops — as officers feel betrayed by the mayor and fear for their safety, The Post has learned.

The dramatic drop comes as Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Mayor de Blasio plan to hold an emergency summit on Tuesday with the heads of the five police unions to try to close the widening rift between cops and the administration.

The unprecedented meeting is being held at the new Police Academy in Queens at 2 p.m., sources said.

Angry union leaders have ordered drastic measures for their members since the Dec. 20 assassination of two NYPD cops in a patrol car, including that two units respond to every call.

#30 Where did you get that picture of the New York City Council? I recognize some of the leftists on it.

The NYPD appear to be undoing “200 years of racism.”

So, for New Year’s eve, at Times Square, better watch your wallet and/or purse!

Or better still, stay safe at home and away from the danger.

Never stay at a Hilton. You are paying for the name.

There are many smaller, older hotels on the upper east side that are very reasonable.

Night court will only be half as entertaining.

Wonder if they are still arresting prostitutes?

But these are a couple of photos of the previous Mayor at a city council meeting.

HOW TO GET THE PROGRESSIVE COP-HATER VOTE WITHOUT EVEN TRYING.

De Blobbio worked on Hillary's Senate campaign.

Impeached president and disbarred lawyer, Bill Clinton,
swears in the new Mayor. Hillary was sitting nearby.

The Clintons milk the Progressive cop-hater vote.

When the five cop union heads emerged grim-faced from meeting DiBlobbio....patrolman union head Patrick Lynch was chosen to speak for them.

Lynch said there had been "no resolution" of the cop/Mayor rift....but that the cop unions figure "actions speak louder than words".......and that "time will tell."

Mmmmmmm....the ball is definitely in DiBlobbio's court.....the cop unions gave De Blobbio plenty of rope to hang himself (/snix).

I'd venture to say DiBlob got a definitive message from the cop unions: "If we ever see you w/ that race baiting sucker, Al Sharpton, ever again, you got big, BIG problems."

“Never stay at a Hilton. You are paying for the name.”

I had no choice as the room was booked by my company because all the meetings were inside the hotel.

As far as Hilton's go, the NYC Midtown Hilton is much much more expensive than any Hilton I have ever stayed in. The midtown location is what they are gouging you for. But it is all the misc. taxes added to the bill that really run it up. They really stick it to the visitor. Even the cheaper hotels have to add these in by law. I always feel ripped off when I travel to NYC. I avoid it as much as possible.

"The Post obtained the numbers hours after revealing that cops were turning a blind eye to some minor crimes and making arrests only “when they have to” since the execution-style shootings of Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu."

Admitting that previously they had been making unnecessary arrests.

Of course. Because the only solution to a problem is to call on the government to come and protect you.

Well then....

So much for the “the Police are here to protect you - you don’t NEED a gun” argument from the Libs.

Arm up, NYC...

How many in NYC voted for the current mayor?

Numbers I had heard were 17 or 18% of the eligible electorate voted for the communist Warren Wilhelm Jr.
