Republican Indiana Governor Mike Pence spent Christmas with his family in Israel, part of a nine-day trip that includes a three-day jobs mission to meet with government and business leaders to discuss expanding economic ties between Indiana and the Jewish State.
According to a Facebook post by Caroline Glick, senior contributing editor of The Jerusalem Post:
As a visiting dignitary, Pence and his family were invited to PLO chief Mahmoud Abbass annual Christmas dinner, where he was notified that a car would be sent to fetch him to Abbass office for an unscheduled and unsolicited meeting at 10:45pm.
Governor Pence in his inimitable wisdom, politely and firmly declined the summons.
Pences support for Israel is not new.
During his tenure as congressman, representing Indianas 2nd and 6th Districts, Pence was regarded as one of Israels staunchest supporters.
His support for Israel and the safety and security of her people is genuine, not politically motivated in the least, said Protect Our Heritage PAC Co-Chair, Peggy Shapiro. I have always been impressed with his knowledge of the region and the threats against Israels existence. He is a truly genuine friend of the Jewish people.

why the hell would any decent human being want to have dinner with a mass murdering nazi?
good for the governor!
He should have told him to pound sand.
G-d Bless Him.
That took courage, because all the libs are going to howl, and make his life very difficult for that.
I don’t know much about Pence but I like what I hear. He’s big on taking power away from our central government and giving it back to the states. That’s about the only way this nation is going to make it.
He won’t be the last sensible Westerner to avoid Muslims.
Perhaps the guc should have suggested Medea Benjamin or another pacifist Fruit Loop?
Crush islam! Eradicate the vile evil of mohammedism!
“Nuts”
I respect it if it took courage
but
I don’t think the libs will howl very much about him
Criticizing someone for .... Declining to share a meal with a hateful murderer...
is not exactly a good cause for anyone to make political points trying to do
just my opinion. I do acknowledge that the D party has been taken over by some awful anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Jewish hate-filled subversives. THEY might try anything, yes. We will see...
yes. yes indeed.
His Committee assignments in the U.S. House included: Foreign Affairs, Subcommittee on Middle East and South Asia (Vice Chair), Judiciary, Subcommittee on the Constitution (Vice Chair), and Subcommittee on Intellectual Property, Competition, and the Internet. While in Congress he belonged to the Congressional Internet Caucus, International Conservation Caucus, Sportsmen's Caucus, and the Tea Party Caucus.
“...taking power away from our central government and giving it back to the states. Thats about the only way this nation is going to make it.”

I hope the Guv has a chance to slam some lib complaining about his refusal.
Good for him.
#^=#/^_&:£ the Muzzies!!
Yes. To some D leaders of recent times, socializing with ( and aiding) murderers terrorists and Satanists/ islamonazis is quite the thing ( for them). Tragic. They’re either morally blind or just bought off : sold out for a little “filthy lucre” Either way, they’ve no business in any positions of power or authority.
