Couldn't the New York Times put aside its hostility to traditional religion on Christmas Day and feature a column by a believing Christian? No, it couidn't.
Instead, believers who blunder onto the online op-ed page today are hit with a lead column entitled "Religion Without God." And just in case you didn't get the message, there's a second column called "An Atheist’s Christmas Dream."

Two possibilities:
1: They are atheists for pay and not when things go bump in the night, phones ring at odd hours and EKG machines look like white noise.
2: They really are the human garbage -most- of them come off as and are simply lying to push agendas.

They are all “celebrating” ‘Festivus’. A bitter, hate-filled pseudo-holiday for atheists, created for the Seinfeld sitcom.
In practice, it has four parts: bitter, Keith Olbermann-type hatred of anyone better than you; lashing out cruelly at anyone nearby; cheap alcohol abuse to aggravate depression; and sneering, resentful sarcasm against anyone with religious faith.
Correct in every regard, which is why it was funny. I’m not certain that the people who take it seriously realize they’re being laughed at.

I don’t, myself, see those two possibilities as mutually exclusive.
