Sheriff: Cop killer felt like a 'caged rat,' had extensive record

TARPON SPRINGS -- 

A police officer was shot and killed overnight in Tarpon Springs, and a suspect has been taken into custody, authorities said.

The shooting happened at 3 a.m. at or near 199 Grand Boulevard, a few blocks from the city's Sponge Docks. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and Tarpon Springs Police Department are investigating.

Authorities haven't said whether there are any other injuries or identified the officer or suspect.

No other information has been released. The sheriff's office said it will provide more details at a news conference this morning. Bay News 9 will carry the news conference live.

Yeah, there a few people I wouldn’t side with when it’s anarchists on the other, which is what this appears to be with the two dead cops in NYC. One of the NYPD was black, and the other oriental, it’s not even so much about race as it is about an unofficial war on law enforcement. It’s almost as if the world of Robocop, where you had gangsters like that of Kurtwood Smith who simply killed cops for fun, is becoming real.

Tarpon Springs is a very quiet, insular community heavily populated by people of Greek descent.

It’s always been one of my favorite spots in Florida.

I would be quite surprised to hear of Black gang activity there.

I have been to Tarpon Srings repeatedly as it is also one of my favorite places in Florida.

The scarcity of news reporting about it tells the story to me. We are now reading American Pravda and must read between the lines to get the whole story.

Pravda is protecting democRATS blacks, muslims, and other so-called aggrieved minorities by editing out damaging material.

I noticed it the first time I ever went to a political protest. Police turned their backs on the conservative side because we weren’t the threat.

On the conservative side we stood in peaceful opposition to Obamacare. There was no angry shouting or threatening. It was almost a festive atmosphere.

On the liberal side were bullhorns, scripted chants, angry shouts about conservatives etc.

I’ve been down that street where the police officer was murdered many times. It’s a beautiful drive as it winds its way to Fort Howard Park - one of my favorite places.

Whether the murderer turns out to be black, it says a lot about our society that we all believe he is likely black.

We obviously have a large group of dim-witted, feral savages with no impulse control in our midst. What do we do? We have got to do something. Our politicians only want to pretend that the problem doesn’t exist or that the problem is somehow our fault. We know better.
