If you like your health care plan, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has a Christmas surprise for you! When will this new present arrive? December 25th.
In an ongoing effort to keep Obamacare numbers elevated, CMS has embarked on the next step of its government takeover of healthcare.
It seems CMS is taking a page from Jonathan Grubers book; rather than allowing the stupid masses to make a decision on their own health plan, CMS has proposed a new rule that includes an overly reaching provision allowing CMS to re-enroll anyone who has not made the annual trek back to healthcare.gov in a cheaper plan of CMS choosing.
Thats right, the government will choose your plan, perhaps limit access to your doctor, and ultimately make the decision on what is best for you.
Not to worry, just like Lady Justice, who wears a blindfold when determining guilt or innocence, CMS will use a blindfold to pick your plan. The agency will select your plan without knowing your medical history. They will do so without knowing if you are currently undergoing treatment or working with a specific doctor. They will do so without knowing your financial status. Despite the fact that the millions of people who already enrolled chose the plan that they believed was best for them.
CMS has laid the perfect trap: Sign up at healthcare.gov one time in your life and we will never let you go. If you dont continually re-enroll each and every year, CMS will keep you on the plan that it chooses because, after all, CMS knows whats best and they always make the best decision. . . .

PING!
If you like your Nanny State, you can keep you Nanny State PING!
I have healthcare.
Why would I sign up for Obamacare?
If people didn’t like Obamacare, they would have vote for people who would have repealed it.
Isn’t having a moderate, centrist government great?
Now go pay your taxes, your government is broke.
Aha !! The Rape of the American people is both a financial , and a mind blower .
The Healthcare insurance was 1/6th of the American economy before ObamaCare.
Now that 1/6th of the American economy is taxes , added upon the FED/State/local?school taxes that you already pay.
And McConnell and Boehner support this outragious taxation !
The Americn Revolution was fought for less than this !!
Oh , in case anyone doesn't already know this, Bankruptcy will NOT eliminate your taxes.
I want a bumper sticker: Don’t Blame Me, I Didn’t Vote for the Kenyan
Bump
But HCR enrollment is with insurance companies as individual plans. CMS just makes payments/reimbursement. Even Medicare and medicaid are just payments. i think they still file with the states. They can dictate the details in the policies gld, silver bronze, etc.
Thanks for the ping!

I'm surprised that the article didn't note that the number of enrollees into ZeroCare has been so low that this is his way of pushing up the numbers to make the plan appear more popular.
He's doing this for a soundbite.
It will be kind of difficult to get people to pay the bill for something they didn’t sign up for...
At the recent House hearing w/ Gruber, it was announced Marilyn Tavenner, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, will be pressed to explain why she provided an inaccurate enrollment count to the committee earlier this fall. The figure was off by nearly 400,000, a miscount that was just enough to push the number over the administrations initial target of 7 million enrollments.
Tavenner and the Department of Health and Human Services say the error was unintentional, but Republicans, such as Issa and Mica, have said they are skeptical.
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said he is also planning to grill Tavenner on how the CMS plans to help customers who might see their tax bills increase if their federal healthcare subsidies change.
The issue, little known outside of policy circles, will pose a problem for many of the people who signed up for a benchmark plan in 2014 through the insurance marketplace but choose not to switch their coverage in 2015.
If the new yardstick plan is cheaper, people will qualify for fewer subsidy dollars and find themselves unexpectedly owing money to the IRS the following tax season.
The significance of this is troubling to me, when you realize what CMS is doing and not doing to inform people that they will get a tax bill [if they do not actively re-enroll], Meadows said in an interview Monday. Theres a difference between telling people you might get a better premium price which is true and everyone should do that and telling people theyre about to get the wrong subsidy if they dont re-enroll.

I read earlier that there’s a move afoot to move retired/family military members off of TriCare and onto 0bamacare!
As if he’s not done ENOUGH to destroy our military as it is! Aarrgghhh!
It isn't voluntary, it's mandatory. And they will take it any way they can.
Isn't socialism great!
One would think the CMS would notify people of the changes in advance of enrollment periods, so they can make informed decisions during enrollment periods.
The tax is mandatory. To my knowledge the law can’t make you also sign up and pay a bill to an insurance company. The insurance company is going to have a hard time collecting something you didn’t actually sign up for.
