Walker, who was re-elected in November, is considered a likely White House contender. Walker said Tuesday his goal is to remove any mandate or requirement that requires a school district to abide by Common Core standards, the Associated Press reported.
This is a softer approach than Walkers demand in July that the state legislature repeal the Common Core standards.

Does Walker support the 1 trillion Boehner-Ryan bill?
he’s rolled on us.
Walker had better make up his mind on Common Core.
Jeb is a huge supporter, and that’s one killer.
Gov. Scott Walker is telling Republican state senators he wants them focused on his agenda rather than passing right-to-work legislation.
I wonder if under orders from Sheldon Adelson, Scott Walker will start worrying about online gambling.
He supported the Dems’ “immigration” bill last summer. He’s been on the RINO bandwagon.
he stopped fighting hard for anything since the recall effort. he wil not take up any more hard fights. now that he’s considering 2016 for president, it’s only going to get worse.
i just wish he’d focus on wi and being gov thenext four years and do some real changes we need done, yet.
Do u have any links to related stories concerning this?
Funny how Romney announces his candidacy and all these attack articles of his opponents just happen to pop up?
Pray America is waking
Here is how to DIAL UP the opposition to Common Core:
It is the Wrapping paper for the Snake Oil liberal agenda.
It is used to hide:
- the revisionist and irrelevant history,
- garbage masquerading as science,
- nonsensical approaches to math,
etc.
In short it is a license for the liberal elite to dictate the content of your child’s education.
We as intelligent beings must stop using the language of the left as dutifully repeated by the media, especially their lazy shorthand and euphemisms.
Common Core is indoctrination masquerading as teaching...test results masquerading as knowledge...graduation masquerading as achievement.
It is local control ceded to state control ceded to federal control. We already have this scenario in matters of law enforcement and the results are appalling. In the case of immigration, political whims at the federal level mean they are actively opposing or ignoring state and local authorities when state and local authorities simply want to uphold their sworn oaths. Politicians of all parties salivate at the prospect of literally rewriting the history books to serve their own ends.
Common Core is, in theory and practice, Centralized Control By Leftists Of All Schools’ Curriculum In A Nation Of 320+ Million Persons Of Wildly Diverse Interests, Intelligence And Abilities. I realize that phrase may not fit neatly into headlines so call it by its traditional name: propaganda.
So, I’ll stick with my efforts to promote and encourage Ted Cruz to run in 2016.
Follow the money..... right to micro$oft and gate$
Posted from my LINUX computer.
Add crony capitalism, or perhaps just a good old fashioned (American taxpayer) shake down. PARCC and Pearson are making billions off of Common Core and Race To the Top. To whose campaigns do they donate?
A politician who “better make up his mind” on any major issue is probably not ready for the big time.
Then I’ll dial back any chance there was I’d vote for him.
well scratch him off the list.
And now they post a thread attacking the strongest conservative candidate for President. Curious.
He hasn’t rolled. This is who he is. He is looking to moderate his tone so he can run for president. He changes his mind from time to time on issues like immigration and common core. I like the man as our governor and believe he has been very good for WI but he is a bad choice for prez.
This is smarter. Force local districts to take control and decide for themselves. Teachers hate common core as do parents. It’s going to fail on it’s own, locally. That’s smart politics from a guy without a college degree.
The media elites with their degrees and status will go nuts.
