War On Cops: True to his word, Attorney General Eric Holder has released new national "anti-profiling" guidelines directing law enforcement to ignore "statistical evidence" generated by his own department.
'Even if there were overall statistical evidence of differential rates of commission of certain offenses among individuals possessing particular characteristics, the affirmative use of such generalized notions by law enforcement officers in routine, spontaneous law enforcement activities is tantamount to stereotyping," and therefore punishable, Holder warned in his 12-page guidance.
"Even if?" Holder's acting dumb. He's fully aware such evidence exists. And it's highly relevant to proactive policing, because it shows stark differences in criminal behavior between blacks and whites.
In fact, recent Justice Department reports reveal that African-Americans commit 53% of all murders, and 10 times more violent crime than whites. Young black men, more alarmingly, make up only 1% of the population but commit a whopping 27% of the nation's murders.
Most of this violent crime occurs in urban areas. But now, under the new federal anti-profiling regime, law enforcement cannot target these high-crime areas if they're predominantly black or Latino. Nor can they associate ethnic gangs with "a certain ethnicity."
The federal guidelines are expected to heavily influence local law enforcement.
Holder this week is also briefing local police chiefs on the policy changes. He hopes that once federal agencies implement these standards, they'll set an example for local law enforcement agencies to adopt as well.
Holder's also requiring federal agents to go through "de-biasing" training, something he's already mandated for several major city police departments as part of consent orders he's forced through discrimination investigations. The training, which tries to cleanse cops of "unconscious bias," has led to a phenomenon known as "de-policing" in high-crime areas.

My local paper is into this. They post articles about the police needing help finding a perp and refuse to print the race. Descriptions like a 300, 6’3” male, nothing more and often, police are looking for a male (well who isn’t). Personally, I think posting the sex is sexist. I think it should say they are looking for a person, which may be speciest, perhaps they should just say they are looking for a life form.

Holder has a point.
Rather than cops putting 90% of their time and resources into the black ‘community’ police should be assigned based on population.
Property taxes are paid to support local police departments - and the police departments use that money primarily in the black community. It’s insulting and it has to stop. Holder would understand.
It’s all equal now.
Since there’s limited crime in most white neighborhoods the police for those districts can be housed at local firehouses when they don’t have a call.. They can play cards, cook great meals and enjoy life...
And the cops who work the black ‘community’? They won’t have time to know who the ‘cigarette man’ is because they’ll be so busy 911 calls will take 2 hours to respond to... if that... But that’s fair - because police protection will be color blind.... and black people will get the same number of policemen to protect them as any other ethnic group.
This should make the cop haters here very happy. Now the cops can’t kick in their doors as they have many times before or has that never happened?
