Democrats have been worried about the African-American vote in Louisiana for months. But what really doomed Sen. Mary Landrieu's reelection bid was the near-monolithic white vote against her.
Landrieu's loss Saturday to Republican Sen.-elect Bill Cassidy followed a November all-party primary in which the incumbent got a lower share of the white vote (18 percent) than all other Democratic Senate candidates in the country but one, according to exit polling. There was no exit poll Saturday night due to a lack of media interest in the runoff, perhaps because even Landrieu's campaign acknowledged that she would need at least 30 percent support from white voters to win another term, a huge jump from her baseline in November.
That's about what Landrieu received when she won her final Senate term in 2008, and her drop-off since then highlights how the white voters who used to be the Democratic Party's Southern foundation have left—and how the party has collapsed without them.
"She came home to a sea of change since she last ran," said Bernie Pinsonat, a pollster in the state. "We don't have any Democratic statewide officials, after her, left. The Legislature is now dominated by Republicans; you don't even need a Democrat to pass a bill. Next year there will be maybe 10, or maybe eight or seven white Democrats left in the entire Capitol building. There's been a mass exodus and not something that had gone unnoticed. I don't know why she ran for reelection."

I think the failed leadership of Obama and the unrelenting insults against whites who don’t agree with the Fabian/Democrat Socialist agenda are what has killed the Democrat Party. Now, only white snobs, pro-statism, big government loons, pony-tailed professors, poverty stricken underclass blacks, and Democrats on-the-make still believe in the Obama led Democrats.
Not so fast, bud. This is only true in the South.
In the North, there are plenty of states with 85%-90% of White populations, which are comfortably and deeply Democratic - Oregon, Washington, Vermont, Rhode Island, etc.

The Republican nominee for President needs to endlessly talk about how the Dem’s gave 5 million, (not counting the chain immigration that WILL happen) illegals the jobs that should go to black citizens. Peel them off....some of them are waking up.

True, but their percentage of the whole is very small. There are too few Sheriff Clarke’s and too many Michael Brown’s. As long as we allow “phony racism” to drive “public assistance,” the numbers won’t move much. I have watched over the past twenty years or more here in California how the Black’s “teamed up” with the Mexicans to form a “political alliance,” which is now falling apart now that the Mexicans have become a political force. They don’t need the Black’s any longer and as a consequence, Black influence is seriously on the wane here. And as we continue to have high housing prices, Blacks are being forced out of our cities. Whole areas of San Francisco that used to be Black ghettos, are now torn down and rebuilt to house the folks from Google, Apple and Facebook. So now the only “view” Blacks have is out the back window of the bus taking them elsewhere.

Barack Hussein (Ebola) Obama.
George Wallace did become a Christian in his later years and repented of his racism.
What do you think Ferguson is about? Expect many more Fergusons in the future.
I live in RI. The people are not as liberal as it seems. Regular coffee shop conversations makes me scratch my head as folks are very conservative. What’s happened over the past 70 years is that the Democrats have consolidated all power to themselves. They’ve even taken the power of the Mafia. Any new and upcoming Republicans have their lives investigated and their reputations destroyed. It’s a model for what Obama and company have in store for the nation.
Black voters are unlikely to start defecting.
White WOMEN, on the other hand, who are a major Dem constituency, may be another story.
Before Obama, there was an enormous pool of concern and sympathy for the plight of poor blacks among white folk. Black may disbelieve all they want, but it's true. Or rather, it WAS true before Obama, Sharpton, the Zimmerman trial, the Ferguson riots, etc, etc.
God help American blacks when the pool of good will dries up.

I really don't know but at the very least he repented of the racism aspect of liberalism after he became wheel chair bound. He went around to black churches testifying of his change and asking for forgiveness, he was well received among black Christians.
The comparison was between $harpton and Wallace. Do you think we will ever see the day when “reverend” Al repents?
